Default compression hosiery advice

Can I get these and wear them with my cast? Therafirm Footless 10-15 mmHg Tights

My cast is very thin and regular footless tights go over it pretty easily. I wear the ankle band of my regular footless tights on the outside of the cast. They don't help with swelling at all. I was thinking these might be worth trying.

I will preface this with the fact that I have not tried this brand. But I did have a time when I flew to Phoenix and my ankles swelled so bad, it didn't even look like I had ankles. Actually, my whole body was swollen, but it was the calves and ankles I was worried about. I went to the local CVS and purchased a pair of medical grade compression socks and put those babies on. Then when I got home, my dad had more. I wore those for weeks while we tried to find out why my legs and ankles swelled up every time I took them off.

Those medical grade compression socks were farking amazing at keeping the water retention swelling down and/or away. Draw your own conclusions based on your situation because they're not really similar.

Products
This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.

Yes, mostly from having a ruptured joint capsule that requires my foot and ankle being in a cast. I also have fibromyalgia and the surgeon said that the cast "provokes" my fibromyalgia and the FM makes the swelling worse. I've already had to have one cast cut off due to swelling. I am in my second one.

I went ahead and ordered the compression footless tights. For $20.00 it cannot hurt.

Do you lie on the floor with your foot elevated on a chair every hour?

I cannot every hour but I do that about every 1 1/2 - 2 hours and keep them up for at least 10 minutes and then do it for my entire lunch hour as well. I also sleep with them higher than my heart/head too. I don't spend any time on my feet that I don't have to. No cooking, no cleaning.
