Indeed! I try to keep bally things far away from the back of my throat. That's probably best left to professionals.

do you know why it was happening? was that the only possible treatment? how often did it happen?
I live in some of the worst air quality in the nation. Have horrible allergies and despite taking zyrtec, sudafed and a nasal steroid, the swelling was still an issue. I am having sinus issues again too. I had the LAUP procedure then had to have steroid injections to reduce more tissue. Not a fun procedure.

I love the title changes.

(And yes, I too kept seeing "My vulva is trying to kill me.")

I am glad you are feeling better.

A grape is a ball.

ETA: At some point, you definitely should just change it to " My vulva is trying to kill me."

Yeah, that's not working for me, could you please change it again to something we can work with?

But I'm very glad you're doing better.

i keep thinking about the scene in "monster house" when the kids get trapped inside the little girl points to a hanging light and goes "that's the uvula" one of the little boys says, "ohhhhh. so its a girl house."

Just to throw this out there....when you go to the doctor you may want to ask about reflux. You can have silent reflux ( meaning no burning) and it'll cause the swelling and cough and sore throat. In my experience a lot silent reflux is usually associated with allergies/asthma.

My reflux is worse when my allergies are worse, but my husband had silent reflux for most of a year with the same symptoms as you and they had him on a cpap and doing/taking all kinds of other things that weren't needed. We eventually found out he was having reflux issues as a reaction to stevia. He's allergic to it as am I. I knew I was the first time I used it and my throat swelled up, he however had a much milder reaction that progressed into much worse.

How about the term pulmonary toilet? Surely, they could have come up with a better name! Gets me every time!

I've always thought the uvula looks more like a punching bag than a grape or ball.

While googling uvula, I saw that there are a bunch of idiots out there who are PIERCING their uvula. I'll spare you a picture of that...
