Dr. Bronner's Soap Labels
Love the soap, but what's up with the weird religious rants on the labels?
This inquiring mind wants to know. |

From the description: Brilliant chemist, Holocaust survivor and mental hospital escapee, Dr. Emanuel Bronner invented his famous Magic Soap and founded the environmentally concerned company that's just as popular today as it was among the counterculture in the 1970s. This documentary captures the complexity of Bronner's relationship with his son Ralph, who spent years in orphanages and foster homes as his eccentric father sought to unite all mankind. It makes for good reading in the shower while my hair is conditioning.

I had no idea there was a documentary, yossarian. Thank you, and thanks to Joseph Heller, too.

Oh, I'm gonna check that doc out, Yossarian. Thanks for posting!
Can't tell if his eccentricities come from just being quirky or cultish. Sounds like a little of both. And it does make for good shower reading. LOL! |
I was just looking at a label the other day while contemplating buying a bar of soap.

Yes I have always found them strange, I even try to read what appears to be unconnected ramblings on the bottles but ... I get tired after reading a few .
