I asked because I was wondering about dementia v. general strangeness.
I say you add little items to her display. Or take a sock for a day, then return it.

Or Springcurl could get, say, a BLUE bucket, switch buckets with her neighbor, and add figurines. Then when asked about it, say in a disappointed voice, “I really wanted to emulate your idea, but I couldn’t find a blue bucket like yours, so I had to go with orange. It’s okay I guess.”

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

It was Mrs White, in the home depot conservatory, with a candle stick.

I did too. It was my favorite board game, and I can not see an out of place candle stick without thinking of it.

ORANGE BUCKETS!!! I need orange buckets!
Really tho, what is IN the orange bucket?
Ground up bodies?
Her old omaha steaks?
More oddly random figurines?
A camera taking pictures of you taking pictures of the orange bucket?

I would switch out the tennis shoes and iced tea and see if she tried to put the tea on her feet.

If you use a blue bucket in any way, please cite the walrus who lost his from LOLcats.
Will it confound her?

Or she could get the blue bucket, make a display and replace the orange bucket art with her version and see if she notices.

I would be inclined to put a half-eaten sandwich next to the half-drunk glass of tea.

I'm so afraid that if you start messing with things outside her door she'll stop keeping things there and that would be the end this thread!!! Nooooooooo! Maybe you could start keeping things outside your door to encourage her to keep it up! And definitely use a smaller bucket, like a little plastic shovel and pail for building sand castles.
And I'm very curious about the cane left outside. What does she use inside? Does she have an outdoor cane and an indoor cane?

That beaded "Welcome" sign is not appealing.
You have a weird neighbor, springcurl.
