Yea I can kind of see this, but it is also right in front of her doorway.
I find it amusing that people are amused by it lol. To me it looks like she's just using that space to put her junk instead of a garage or near the front door like I do. My stuff is probably more random than hers.
It is unattractive/messy though to do that in a public space. It really wouldnt bother me unless food started rotting and was attracting bugs/rodents, ew.

It's still there this morning. And I just chatted with her up at Starbucks so that means that she walked by it this morning without pulling it inside on her way to Sbux. (as well as just not bringing it in yesterday when it arrived). ???

Truth be told, she is a hoarder and there is simply no more room in her home what with the 9 million newspapers and multiple dead animals that won't be discovered for years and years.

I really don't know how you do it. This would drive me batty! I'd have said something by now.
And really, doesn't this constitute a fire hazard?

The last time she left steaks out for so long I asked if she wanted to carry the box in for her and she said she'd get it herself. Then the next day it was in the dumpster. (unopened)

That's so gross. If she doesn't want it she should give it to a soup kitchen or something.
I'm still entertained by the knick knacks tho.

^ Seriously. Can you imagine how much stew they could make for people from those steaks? It would go a long way.
And I'm also still amused by knick knacks as well.

Maybe she's vegetarian and someone is harassing her with steaks.

Then someone should save her the trauma and not let the food sit out.

I cant stand food going to a waste when so many are hungry. Maybe you should just mention something like, "are those steaks? arent you afraid they will go bad? there know a shelter that would love steaks sent to them every month" if she says something like she doesnt want them, offer to take them to the soup kitchen. you offer once, maybe everytime she gets them she will give them to you to take or she will just take them herself.

It's now Monday. It's been 7 days. The box is still out there.
I am very torn and feel two ways:
(1) I want to say to her, "Pat, your Omaha Steaks have certainly gone bad at this point, they've been out there for a week! Why are you leaving your steaks out and not bringing them in?"
(2) What's the use? If she's really a hoarder, me saying anything will do absolutely nothing but embarrass her. It won't change her behavior, it'll just make ME feel better that I got it off my chest.

Glad I'm not the only one of this opinion.

I would pull a Robin Hood and just take the steaks and donate them.
This is assuming they would still be suitable for consumption. And after asking the food shelf or soup kitchen if they can use them.
I mean, it’s almost like she wants someone to take them.

I don't think the way it's been posted here has been invasive. But I just don't get the fascination. If it's a health hazard or an eyesore, complain to the rental office. If not, then what difference does it make?
Mental illness is a likely explanation.

I don't think it's been invasive either. No one actually messed with her stuff, and we've just been having a bit of fun. As to the fascination, some of us just find others' behaviors interesting. That's all. I don't think anyone is sitting up at night obsessing over this.
