Default LOL: "the wrong cut for oval face"

I clicked on the linkThe Right Hairstyle For Your Oval Face Shape : Hairstyles | TheHairStyler.com (at the bottom of another thread) and it gave me this as the wrong medium style for my face shape which is funny because it's basically how my hair is cut right now. I'm glad I don't take things too seriously and just go with what I like on myself!

Plus, I thought oval faces could basically wear anything.

I think that cut looks alright on that face shape.

You have to take these so-called rules with a grain of salt. The warm/cool tones thing, for instance, I think is bogus. If I want to know if a color looks good on me, I try it on. If you're happy with what you see, that's what matters.

Did it say why it's bad for an oval face?

I can't see any problem.

Okay, I read it, and I like the other "wrong" cuts/styles as well.

I disliked all of the "right" hairstyles. Or at least on that illustration.

I like it too! And mine is similar. But I'm guessing this is why they say no:

This style has too much hair suffocating and covering up what is normally the ideal shape to work with. The hairstyle takes over to become the attention getter with its square shape being the main attraction. Hairstyles should complement face shapes (the frame around the picture), not cover them up.
It's just that it hides our oval beauty! LOL Which is why I also do not like to let my hair get really long. It becomes all about the hair and nothing to do with me.

It looks cute. The shape is great for an oval face.

The bolded! I wear mine more off the face than that, but it's the same cut. I added a thumbnail to the original post of a good hair day from back in December

I'm bored so I did their their test thing to find the perfect hairstyle. The results came back blond, straight, and completely covering one of my eyes. Hell no, that's taking away all my best features!

Sheesh! I consider hair style suggestions to be a lot like horoscopes: entertaining but of no real value in advice.
