My parents got DH and me a $100 Amazon gift card for Christmas. We'd like to use it to buy a couple pots and pans, since ours are not in the greatest shape. What we need the most are a 4-quart (or thereabouts) pot with lid, and a 10-inch skillet.

Any recommendations for brands or materials that I would be able to buy on Amazon in that price range? Thanks!

Not sure if you're looking for non-stick, but I have this set in cobalt blue and lovelovelove it!

I have a really good stainless steel set, but this is my go stuff for most things. It's about 4 years old, used daily and still looks new

What kind of cooking do you do? To me, I would want a cast iron skillet and an enameled pot. I've never used a top of the line enameled pot so I don't know if there's truly a difference, but my less expensive ones seem to be lasting forever and I love them. My mom can't use them because of weight, so we have some light non-stick pans she uses but I hate to cook with.

As far as cast iron I would just make sure the handle is oven safe if it's not iron (I would go for one material), and there are a lot out there.
