Default First Valentine's gift?

Ok so last time I had a first Valentine's with someone I really liked, I was 18 and all I had to give was a bunch of candy and some...favors.

But now I'm an adult and I have no idea what to get my bf.

We've only been a thing for a few months so it's definitely still new. Last night he said he'd like to make dinner for me for V-day so it's going to be pretty casual and laid back (which I like), and I want to get him something thoughtful, but not too meaningful.

Suggestions? He's 26 and a Libra if that means anything to you lol

PS I know we've decided males are the worst, but let us do our best to pretend they aren't.

I'm kind of in the same boat. And mine is a Libra, too. (But we've been seeing each other for ony a few weeks. So maybe still in the card-only zone?)

And I am notoriously bad at selecting gifts for ppl.

So I will be checking this thread for suggestions!

Do you know if he will be making/buying dessert for the dinner?

Maybe you can supply the wine and dessert...at least as part of your gift?

I guess some popular product categories for gifts include:
music
books
magazine subscriptions
cologne
food/baked goods
alcohol
clothing
small gadgets
video games
tickets to sporting events, concerts, etc.
keepsakes

That is a situation gurl lol.

Six months is kind of significant so you can probably get him something pretty intimate (not like sessy intimate (unless you want to!), but you know...personal) without it seeming like too much. Esp since it's his bday too.

Spiderlashes: I love the idea of making dessert but I have class at night the days before so it wouldn't be fresh

Maybe the wine? He's from Oregon and very proud of that (idk y it's not like they were ever a country lol) so what if I got some wine from oregon?

I do want to get him something else though. Ughh
