Anyone being affected by this?
This storm is pretty bad! Keeping my fingers crossed that I don't lose power. I hate sitting in the dark!

Yup. We'll get 2 feet or more tonight. I parked my car in a parking garage so I don't have to dig it out tomorrow... er, the next day.
Personally, I'm loving it. I'm captioning a lot today for the local news,, but it's nice hanging out with my animals. Tomorrow my pug has a play date with her pug boyfriend who lives in the house behind me.

My parents are safe and snug in their condo (thanking their lucky stars they don't have a house anymore to worry about shoveling out) Probably like SpringCurl my folks will get upwards of 2 feet of snow...
My mom says... Got my milk, bread, snacks, flashlight batteries we're good to go!
Good Luck to my fellow curlies in the Mass area.. Stay Safe and Warm! HUGS FROM VA!

We got just under 2 ft today, and now the stars are out. Who knows though, it was clear when I went to bed last night and woke up to a foot this morning!

I am in CT and getting it with both barrels as we speak. The wind is deceptive to how much snow we are getting but what snow I shoveled about two and a half hours ago is now buried with additional accumulation. There appears to be a five foot snow drift behind our house. A lot of work ahead of us tomorrow!
ETA: snow is falling five inches per hour right now with 30mph winds and 60+ gusts

We're supposed to get about a foot in NYC. As long as I have my books, computer and TV, I'm all right. Stay warm and safe if you're affected.

We were on the western side and got missed, thank heavens. I do get the east coast feeds on Direct TV and have been watching how snowed in some of you are. Been there, done that, on many occasions. Stay in, stay warm, stay safe and wait it out.

I'm in NY. We got lucky in my area and only saw about 6-8 inches. The roads are pretty much clear from what I can see from my apartment (I have an interstate view). I'll still be avoiding going outside though since I'm originally from the south and this is a ton of snow to me. I don't know what I'd do if we got 2-3 feet!

We got about 2 feet in NH. The plows worked all night and for the amount of snow we got, the roads aren't that bad, they did a good job keeping up with it. I'm shocked we didn't lose power, it didn't even flicker. My DH is on our towns fire/rescue and they didn't have more than a couple calls, people were being smart and stayed in. I hope you all are staying safe and warm.

It bothers me that we pay more in taxes than most every state and also have experience with snow but somehow we can't deal with situations like this whereas states like VT, NH and even MA have no problems.
I still have yet to see a plow come up to the top of our street while the main road at the end appears clear. My husband got annoyed and cleared a path with the snowblower wide enough for a car to pass to where the road was plowed to further down.

Someone should send the door one to The Weather Channel.

I'm in ct and we have been without power since yesterday and of course we are new here so no back up generator or anything so we are at a motel hopefully power is restored soon. They put a ban on driving today to get the plows rescue people and power company a chance to do there work.
