I thought that was horrible advice.
And anyway, isn't the "Dimmer" trying to "dim" (ugh!) Taylor's light? Two beliefs can coexist in a relationship so long as each person is respectful and not trying to shove their faith down the other's throat. Taylor, if you are reading this, run! Before it's too late. |
Honestly, if your religious beliefs mean so much to you, you would be with someone who feels the same and is on the same page as you. I can't see it working if you are with someone and you're constantly trying to "bring them to Christ"
IMO, that was horrible advice. Dimmer should leave because Taylor is obviously not the right life partner. Sent from my iPhone using CurlTalk |
I'd want to be more or less equally yoked. But I've seen it work the other way, too.

I think it can work out sometimes. But ifone person is deeply in any religion I don't think it will work out if the other is not. As christ rock said, "i'm going to church where you going?" "Get crack!" "Ok have fun!" It just won't work.
Sidenote: if you haven't seen his routine on this, you shoul youtube it. Funny stuff! |

Ugh, i couldn't make it in a relationship with the Dimmer or whoever wrote that blog. That kind of religious hassling all the time would be a total turnoff.

I agree with many of you.
Yes, it can work as long as you are respectful, and at least on the same page. If you are more of a strict religious, and go to church every week, and want someone to do the same with you... You probably shouldn't date an atheist. That said, I have dated one religious guy in the past 20 years. He was the right type of religious for me. He believes church is/can be sitting by a river. The rest of my boyfriends were atheist, or didn't really know what they believed yet. We never had problems due to religious/spiritual differences. I have never been the type to conform someone to my thoughts or beliefs. |
^ And yes, I appreciate if they do or don't do the same. Lucky for me, they had no problem with letting me be me in that respect either.
