Default When was the last time you changed your hair style?

I'm so bored with my hair. It's been nearly the same for 10 years... but before that, it's just been shorter.
I pull it back, use headbands, bobby pins, etc but my hair shape is the same.
I'm bored and have no idea what to do.

All I've ever done to switch things up was cut bangs in a couple years ago. My hair is subtly layered and softly V'ed in the back. Basically style-less. Several months ago I cut it from mid-back length to shoulder grazing, and have since been growing it back out. I've been wearing it all curly recently and enjoying that, so despite the lack of change, right now I'm comfortable. The curls are its style.

What are the characteristics of your hair right now? Face shape? Maybe we can figure out a style you would like to try. There's also those websites where you can upload a picture and try different ones out. This could be fun.

I actually changed the shape back in November. I went back in the next day and had her reshape the cut to back what I had. It was a little shorter than what I wanted, but I know what works for me.

It changes a little every day or so bc I go back and forth btwn curly and straight. And every few months if I get a shape up or highights. But I haven't changed it drastically since about 2002 when I went really short (and then gradually let it grow back).

I'm constantly letting my hair grow longer then chopping it off. I get bored easily, and so I change it up a lot. I go from barely long enough to hold back with bobby pins (too short for a barette) and stacked in back to mid-back to inverted bob to shoulder length... Variety is fun, and my hair works for long or short. Sometimes I have long sideswept bangs but I have trouble getting bangs to work, which is the thing I like least about my hair as I love bangs and think they are flattering on me.

We'll stick to the last 2 years, because that's easiest to remember!

I went from bleach blond to honey blond to a really dark brown to a bright red to currently a really really dark red/brown. I want to go back to a brighter red.

Somewhere in there I added bangs and have worn them at all different lengths.

My hair was just long enough to get stuck in my pants, cut it to BSL, grew it out again, then took about a foot off last week and its about shoulder length in the front with layers to BSL in the back.

I split it about 50/50 straight/curly.

I've been wearing my hair curly for 5 years. Sometimes it's a chin-length bob or a little shorter or longer, but it's always the same.

From your pic, I always assumed you had longer hair!

I change it way too often! I grow it long (past my shoulders) then cut it short (not quite long enough to put in a ponytail). While its growing I change the shape from longer in the front, longer in the back, more or less layers, and variations on bangs (or lack thereof). I have a whole folder of pics I've collected from the internets of haircuts I like.

And then there's color! Lighter, darker, redder, brighter, chunkier/thinner highlights...sometimes very natural sometimes clearly not.

I'll basically try anything. I had so many terrible haircuts when I was a kid, I know it always grows back and basically have a "it could be worse" attitude when I'm making changes, haha. I just make sure to have a variety of bobby pins or headbands and hats if something really goes awry. I've really never had something that was totally unsalvageable in some way.

About 4 months ago from light brown with blond highlights (shoulder length curly, APL straight) to jet black shaved in the back and undercut along the right side with the left side a little longer and covering my eye. Very 80s now.

May 2012
I started locking my hair.

Prior to that, I cut my hair super short in 1999 and let it grow back. December 2011 I cut about 3 inches off. I also went back and forth b/t curly and straight.

Ummm I BC'd in 2011. That's it.

I've been dying to dye (see what I did there?) my hair purple, but I work in a law firm so that won't fly.

I'm a boring person.

I did too. I liked them for one day. ONE DAY!!!

Then I chopped it all to chin length. Yep, hate my job, hate my body so naturally chop of all yur damned hair - that'll help! At this length it only works to straighten it.

I think the only pic I've ever posted of myself, it was short and dark.

Here are a few....

I only like my hair 2 ways - chin length bob and long (past shoulder length when dry). So for the last 25-30 years, every decade or so I chop it into a bob. Then I immediately start growing it out since it grows so slow.
Unfortunately it has to go by my most hated length - shoulder. Gosh I hate that length of hair.

I always wear it curly, usually down, sometimes in a pony. That's about it. No major changes since I chopped it all off into a pixie in the mid 80's.

I went from relaxed hair to locs in 2005.

I cut my hair in 2011. So I had a short do.

Then I started with the puff about 5 months later.

I stopped wearing the puff about 3 months ago.

So 3 months ago I changed up.

I don't "do" hair. Never have. As long as a style works, I don't change it.

Nope. It's too fine and thin to wear long, and starts to get droopy.

Here it is at the shorter length:

I've had basically the same hair style since I started wearing my hair curly around 11 or 12. With my face shape and curl pattern... My only two options are long or short. And since short hair makes me look like a child, usually, I've beent trying to keep it longer as of late. But even so, every few years or so, I decide to cut it so it's somewhere between chin-length and a little above shoulder length... Generally speaking, long hair probably isn't the most flattering for my face shape, but I can do more stuff with it when it's this length! And it's just more fun in general right now.

I toss around the idea of dying it every few years, but I've never actually done it! I swear, one day I will. But I kind of like my natural color, and I don't want to "ruin" it.

I dunno. I'm kind of boring when it comes to my hair! I sometimes wish I had straight or just wavy hair so I could try out all the fun, trendy haircuts!
