think of your three fave pairs of jeans

-an old Gap pair-1969-straight. I love them and they are getting really worn. They changed the fit, the material since then, and the cut. The current 1969 do not fit me like my old pair.
-I recently bought some 'GASP' Eddie Bauer jeans and I really like them. Style-curvy-straight. I bought a dark wash and a regular wash.
-tie: Miraclebody black straight leg and Red Engine boot cut dark wash.

Runner ups-Levi's bold curve-the length is a bit disappointing-longs were wayyy too long; Banana Republic limited edition trouser jeans.

I also just got a pair of grey Lee perfect fit jeans that I ordered online from JC Penney and they may move into the top 3.

I am obsessed with jeans lately.

I'm another Not Your Daughters Jeans fan, the Marilyn straight leg in 33 inseam (I'm 5'8.5").

I bought a pair of NYDJ Sheri skinny jeans at Macy's a few days ago, but haven't worn them yet because I found them cheaper online so I'm waiting to get those to try them out and will return the Macy's pair. Hopefully I'll like them just as much and I can wear them with boots or cuff them to wear with flip flops in the summer.

The rise is higher in them than a lot of people would probably like, but I've got a large caboose and can't stand sitting down and my butt instantly falling out of my jeans or feeling like I'm flashing the room if my shirt isn't really long.

There are probably lots of other great jeans out there, but I hate trying on clothes so I'll just stick with these for a while! Before I gained some weight I was wearing a pair of Levi's I got for $10 at Wal-mart about 6 years ago that I loved. They were the only pair of jeans I owned until I tried the NYDJ about a year ago and while they still fit, they're a little snug, but they've held up great through continuous wear and when my hiney is smaller I'll definitely wear them again.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
I am with you Springy-the Eddie Bauer's are mid-rise or higher?? I tried on some of the NYDJ's last week while at Macy's and ended up with a pair in a what I thought was grey but maybe a blue?? I like them. The miraclebody jeans are a higher rise as well.

Probably the old gap ones I love are the lowest rise next to the Levis. But when I have tried on Gap jeans recently there were indecent for this old lady.

Old navy - sweetheart skinny jeans
Old navy - sweetheart bootcut jeans
Jordache - skinny jeans

I also love Gap's long and lean which they've discontinued, the sexyboot and the sexy boyfriend jeans.

I worked for old navy for a little over 4 yrs and I've been working at Gap since the end of 2011 I love trying on all the different styles of both places

1. ON Sweetheart bootcut

2. ON Rockstar Super Skinny jeans

Both of them are dark washes.

1. Joe's, bootcut
2. Levi's, jeggings?/skinny? (still not clear on the difference)
3. Right now, none of my other jeans qualify for the #3 spot

I only own 2 pair of jeans that fit

Both are Levis. One is boot cut and really flare like bell bottoms. The other pair is Levi skinny jeans but I bought them to fit loosely but not baggy. I do not like tight jeans on me.
I buy (FDJ) French Dressing Jeans. My 3 favorite pairs are a dark and light wash Olivia and my FDJ jeggings.

I used to buy Gap, but the last time I shopped there I had a hard time with sizes. I could have the same pair of jeans, in the same size & style BUT in different washes, and only one would fit properly.

I hate buying jeans. I cant ever find a good fit.

Right now I have a couple of Old Navy Diva cut that are my faves. They fit through the hip and thigh and are a little roomier in the waist.

I own 4 pairs of jeans and really won't recommend any of them. It's hard finding jeans for me. I'm a fat, short, short-waisted white girl with no real waist or hips. FML.

And I'll be danged if I can find ANY plus-size jeans that are either low-cut or ultra low-cut now. Apparently being fat means I need pants that come up above my belly button. or could act as a secondary bra support?

A girl I work with says she swears by Silver's from Maurice's that run up to a size 20, so that may be my next stop.

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.
1) Lucky Sweet N Straight - dark
2) Calvin Klein skinny - regular wash
3) NYDJ skinny (I don't remember the actual name) - black
3c/4a
The only brands that fit me perfectly are Jones New York and Style and Co from Macy s. I am short and fat, so I buy Petite in the 10-12 sizes.
Express jeans also fit me well, but I have to hem them.
3a/b, CG mostly.
Mexico City.
^ I loved Express jeans. Those were my favorites, along with the occasional pair from The Limited. Limited closed in the closest mall years ago, and Express went out 4 or 5 years ago. Sigh.

I know some of you mentioned the stretch issue in jeans. I like jeans with or without, but I was so happy to see other options than low rise. Don't get me wrong, I still have some low rise and love them, but that being the only option was getting old. A mid rise jean is more comfortable for me to sit in at work.

My co workers don't want to see my thong! Haha

Love my jeggings...could not have imagined I would have ever wore them.

1) Old Navy Rock Star Jeggings in Dark Gray and Campfire washes. I just ordered a couple dark wash but the sizing is very inconsistent, I need to return for a different size.

2) YMI Hyperstretch Jeggings in black

3) Levis Demi-Curve Modern Rise Skinny - very dark wash

Otherwise, I mostly have bootlegs (never thought I would not wear them but some have not been out of the closet in months).

The Tuesdays are good ones, an older style of theirs but still my favorite. Most of the low rise ones have a 7-7.5" rise. I don't like their classic fit line, mostly bc they aren't as low rise lol. We have a Maurice's in town and that is the only store in this small town worth shopping for jeans in. They carry a ton of sizes.
fine, thin, normal/(low?) porosity. Mod-CG. Usually I can't co-wash more than 1x a week, & sometimes I have to use T-Gel in rotation due to scalp issues.

Co-wash: VO5 Volumizing

RO:TN, Nexxus Youth Renewal, Alba Coconut
LI: KCKT
PT: gelatin PT, ION EC
Stylers: Giovanni mousse, TIGI Curls Rock amplifier (a-cone), Curls Rock Strong Hold Mousse
Gels: SCC spray gel

Oh, I have a couple pairs of DKNY that fit really well.

Vanity sizing is funny. My jeans are a sixe 6. I would say I'm a 10, or at least an 8.

After reading this thread, I'm inspired to go try on some Old Navy and Gap jeans. I haven't in a while and I've never had success with them. I'm not too hopeful, though, because I seem to remember thinking that their jeans were cut more for hourglass or pear-shaped women.
