I got off the exercise track this week. Partly because my daughter was sick and mostly because I used that as an excuse. Was out late with the girls last night, but am trying to talk myself into going to the gym in a little while. I just ate, so I do want to wait a bit now.

I didn't do my Saturday weigh-in because of the above. Last night's party probably didn't help, I'm sure, but I'll do it tomorrow morning. I didn't eat terribly this week, but I didn't make an effort to be really, really good, either.

I never thought I would like running. But I just ran 6.55 miles (a half-marathon as a relay) in 1:04! A year ago, I wouldn't have believed you if you'd told me that!

I have been having some back problems and I promised myself I would quit if it was hurting. But it felt really good and I actually ran the whole way apart from a one-minute stop to get a drink and do some quick stretches halfway through.

I did an easy 2000 yards in the pool afterwards as a recovery.

that is awesome, divegirl!

I finally got to the gym, spent an hour on the treadmill. Now I have to figure out what to make for dinner.

I am still sore from my run on Friday! I've also been feeling crummy this weekend and have mostly been laying in bed trying to do reading for school. Hoping to feel better tomorrow and get back to it

I went for an easy 10-mile bike ride on Sunday (still recovering from the race). Yesterday I swam 2400 yards and biked 25 miles. Today I biked 11 miles (first bike-to-work day of the season! Yay!!), ran 35 minutes and will swim for an hour or so later.

Today's run was UGLY. I don't know if I'm still tired from the race, if I'm not used to the newly-warm weather or what, but I hated every minute.

Still running. Woke up today, and my knee hurt, so I took today off and will skip tomorrow, too.

Eating well. My friend has us doing workouts. Dang, my thighs hurt from squats!!!

This week I did 3 one hour classes, took a one hour walk, and did my crunches, etc every day besides today. Not as much exercise as I'd like but I've been tired all week. Having trouble sleeping with is rare for me.

Still exercising but not making much progress in the eating department. Donuts and hamburgers and pizza, Oh my!

I've been walking, jogging, and doing Pilates every day but I think I'm going to start waking up early to do it. In the evening I feel like I'm so worn down that I don't give it my all.

Been slacking on the updates!

Well, my friend and I just signed up for our first 5k! It's on May 11

We might be pushing it a bit, as we just finished week 7, but she's moving on the 15th (off the island ), and we really want to do our first 5k together.

In other news, I ate a whole box of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese Deluxe for dinner last night Bad, bad girl! But it felt so good! lol

That's great! The 5k should be perfect timing for the end of the C25K, right? You'll have a blast.

I've still been working out, but have been derailed a bit with a pulled muscle in my back. Swimming has been aggravating it so I've cut back (and am just hoping to survive a 3-mile open-water swim in a couple of weeks).

I did bike 20 miles on Skyline Drive in Shenandoah on Sunday! That was so much fun (although the hills were intense!).

Well let's see....I started this at 137. I got to 134 then back to 139 and now it's 136. The pantsuit I want to wear to the Oaks on May 3 fits best at 127. So my options-

go on a starvation diet that will make me sick and but will get me to 127 on May 3 but 137 on May 4

or

change my outfit for the Oaks

or
buy one of those wraps to suck the water out of you to get me into the pantsuit for that one day

or
keep at it and hope that the jacket hides the tight pants

I would change the outfit, never consider a starvation diet to even be an option...

I was down with the flu all week so I did no exercise and ate almost nothing. But I still managed to gain weight. Cuz that's how I roll. : )

I'm plugging along. Only two bowls of lobster bisque in three weeks. Several two-mile walks at lunch. But WHY do I like heavy cream in my coffee so much??? How come seemingly everyone else can make do w/ skim but I need the stuff that is 100% fat and 50 calories per teaspoon?

Can I still join?
I was on a mission to lose 24 pounds and "already" lost 6, so 18 more to go.
I'm still studying, so don't have time to exercise a lot.
What I want to do: eat healthy, drink more green tea (I noticed that 2/3 green tea, 1/3 light cranberry juice helps me to lose weight more than water does), cycle at least 30 km a week (would like to reach 50 at least), swim once a week. I'll also try to walk to school more (from the train to school) instead of taking the bus.

I'm going to keep at it and change outfits if needed. To safely lose 1 pound a week, I need (given my age and activity level) to consume 1200 calories a day. I can, for 2 weeks, drop that to 1000 calories and lose 4 or 5 pounds. That would let me get into the pantsuit; it just won't look great.

Then I would change outfit...if its still not going to look great then you won't feel your best!
