It really bugs me that my "home" church won't do St. Francis blessings anymore.

One year I had the poodles, and my foster border collie mix Mr. Francis blessed all at once.

But the water ring toss (and several other games like it), parachutes in PE, scented markers, click it color pens, hungry hippo's, Oregon Trail (one of the very first computer games) were all created/popular in the late 70's/80's. Ice cream is for everyone, and so is a slinky.

Yep, I had to look up Oregon Trail. First released in 1971, again in 74, 85, 95, etc. It came out 4 years before I was born but I played the crap out of it in the early 80's. My Uncle, who was a computer/science teacher had a home computer and we loved that game. In 86-87 we had it and Where In The World Is Carmen San Diego? on our classroom computer.

Oregon Trail takes me straight back to 8th grade history (1982), in the temporary building outside of the school - and you only got to play if you were REALLY well behaved in class. LOL

Same here. It was probably 81/82 when I first played it at my Uncles. He was the only person I knew with a PC. You had to do really well on a task before you got the reward of computer time in school. We only had two in the entire school and generally 2 people used it at once.

The Water Ring Toss takes me back to late 79 early 80. I had to go to the Children's Hospital in Atlanta and a few family members bought me some of the water games to keep me occupied. *In fact, I still have 2 of them... Somewhere.

now, those Mr Sketch markers!!!! I saved and saved for my own set, although I can't with any certainty tell you how old I was - and I refused to use them for fear I'd "ruin" them!! Turquoise smelled FANTASTIC
