So this doesn't get lost in the nails thread, let's list our favorite polish base coats and top coats here. If you know if they are 3-free or more (free of Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde and Toluene), please state.

I have been using Sally Hansen Double Duty base/top coat, 3-free, but I hear it's not good to use the combo products, they don't work as well. My top coat has been Anise (DSW) Fast Dry top coat. I'm happy with that one, but I'm almost out of both so I'm on the hunt.

ETA: Feel free to suggest matte and holo topcoats, etc.

I'm really happy with Avon's Nail Experts Gel Strength Base Coat. Reviews

It guards against yellowing very well (didn't actually know base coat was commonly used for that reason until recently), and it puts down a smooth canvas for my nail polish. I've actually been wearing it alone for the last week and a half and admiring that it has an attractive effect by itself. Not too glossy, just looks like healthy nails with a nice sheen.

Top Coat wise I've been using Revlon Quick Dry. It's effective, and does dry fairly quick. I'd get it again.

When I use both and a nail color, I can expect around two days longer of no chipping with my best quality polishes.

Right now I am using OPI Natural Nail Strengthener. If I use it as a base coat, I apply 2 coats. If not, I do one coat and one of Seche Clear. This is a very good combo. I use OPI Rapid Dry TC. It is working very well.

I have been using Out The Door fast dry top coat lately. I also make my own Holographic top coat and polishs. Last spring I was able to purchuse spectraflair ( in powered form) along with Glamor and Luster base and other pigments and clear polish jars and lids. The last picture shows my nails done in regular Zoya nail polish while the one before it shows my hand made holographic top coat. First picture is the spectraflair

My curls looks like the 3a pictures
Hair length is to my bra strap, it's fine textured, but the density is thick, not much elasticity, Naturally Blonde but Color treated because of graying going on
