My service territory stretches all the way up to McLennan county where West is.
The hardest part is the first 24 hours of response. Lots of misinformation about what is needed by first responders and potential for scams. People expect immediate and frequent updates, and from a fundraising perspective, there is a very brief period of time before people move on. It's really about quick coordination and consistent messaging.
Luckily (or sadly) I've been through this many times so I kinda know the drill. It's just exhausting to work quickly like that + I had to present at a luncheon on social media + I have a big festival to promote this weekend + my little girl has been sick with a low grade fever.
Compared to the folks in West, I really shouldn't complain.
