The Pizza Thread!

My favorite will always be my grandmother's or my dad's - home made dough, thin in the center with a thick chewy edge. Canned crushed tomatoes, lots of garlic, oregano, and hot pepper flakes. A light sprinkling of parm cheese. That's it.

My favorite retail pizza comes for a little shop that's been here since I was a kid. It tastes exactly the same now as it did then, with the same crispy crust.

I will get a Hot N Ready from Little Caesars when the mood hits.

I love cold pizza for breakfast.

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.
Thin crust, lots of roasted veggies, thin layer of red marinara sauce, and crumbled goat cheese.

I tried making a pizza this weekend with a cauliflower crust. It tasted fine, but it crumbled. I'll be trying again. I did manage to make a good cracker using raw/unsalted almonds, red bell pepper and seasonings. Yum!
My favorite is from this brooklyn style place here in Atlanta. I also like this authentic italian place here. I don't get the hype here about places like felinis and mellow mushrooms. CPK sucks for pizza. I only get pasta from there and their sweet tea is awesome.

As for fast foods, dominos deep dish is my favorite and papa johns my least because the sauce is sweet. Growing up it was Pizza Hut of course. Little Caesars was good too.

I hardly eat pizza these days, I only get cravings once in a while, not my favorite food.

I prefer plain cheese or just a couple toppings. My fav is jalapeno peppers, then olives, mushrooms, onions. I like ground beef/beef sausage but I've only had it from one place since most pple do pork. Other than that i dont like meat on pizzas. I hate pineapple too, ugh.

LOL, i grew up eating rice that's been left out all the time and still do. Only when it's really warm and it's been more than a day it starts to go bad.
I'm from Bklyn and I just want good quality cheese pizza. If the cheese, sauce and crust are good, you don't need anything else...except a lil garlic and red pepper flakes. I miss NYC!

All these chain pizza restaurants out here suck and I can't believe ppl eat this stuff.

I like to make "pizza" at home; it's better than the crap they sell out here but not like what I grew up eating.

The lack of pizza and authentic Italian food is one of my biggest regrets about moving out here. grrrrrrr

By cold, I mean out of the refrigerator. I will eat pizza hot, cold, room temp, and anything in between but I actually like it best cold.

I don't use any gooey type of cheese on my own pizza and I take it off of retail pizza, so there's no issue with having cold hard cheese on my cold pizza.

And I would never leave pizza out overnight, unless it had no cheese or meat whatsoever.

I also don't like barbecue sauce on my pizza whether its on the chicken or the sauce. I usually don't like chicken on my pizza when it's takeout pizza because I find that most of the takeout chicken is bland and tasteless or too salty. I also would never have anchovies on pizza...I don't care for any kind of seafood.

I can eat cold pizza right out of the fridge and I have but I prefer it to be hot.

I make tortilla or pita pizza maybe every other week, and it's usually:

Spicy peanut sauce, broccoli slaw, scallion, cilantro; BBQ chicken, mushroom, spinach, jalapeno, blue cheese, oregano; Buffalo chicken style; or anything with homemade tomato sauce.

I used to LOVE CPK's pear and Gorgonzola salad pizza. I don't even know if they still make it since it was taken off the menu, then put back on, etc.

I do love just getting a slice of thin pizza in a big city. They seem to taste so much better than anything I can order or make.

My favorite pizza is a classic pepperoni. I do not like pan or deep dish pizza's. Give me thin or hand tossed. The others usually have far too much sauce for my taste.

If I go to the uber delicious pizza place in my town I get a Mediterranean pizza with a pesto sauce, artichokes, thinly sliced roma tomatoes and goat cheese OR a spinach pizza and sun dried tomato pizza topped with different cheeses and an olive oil base, rather than tomato sauce.
