Default Endoscopy & colonoscopy

I just had these two today and oh boy how I was nervous but it turned out that am a very lightheaded person, I was done about 4 hours ago n was in a deep sleep nurses were trying to wake me up for the past one hour it was hilarious, I think my experience was hilarious bcuz they only gave me sedatives n I was suppose to be at least awake for my endoscopy I remember nothing I dunno who got me dressed , I couldn't wake up or walk just 20 min ago when I had my first meal I was able to stand up I think am very light headed , but no pain no nothing , am 22 btw and just wanted to share to encourage the ladies who wants to do it but r hesitant, go for it it's nothing.

I agree. I've had both and didn't feel a thing during either one. Please don't hesitate about these tests. I know many people who have had these tests and nobody had discomfort. I was able to be awake afterward and had lunch right away.

i know you think it's funny, but it sounds like you might have had a reaction to the sedation. when i had my colonoscopy, my mother was having freak-outs in the waiting room because elderly people who went in for their procedures after mine were coming out of recovery ahead of me. she was sure they had found massive amounts of cancer and had taken me to surgery.

i do poorly with any anesthetic/sedation and have trouble waking up from it. my overarching memory of my last surgery 6 years ago, was setting off the oxygen sensors attached to me and the nurses telling me to breathe.
