How is the little guy doing?? My sons girlfried found a abandoned kitty vet estimated she was about 2 weeks old and she had to be bottle fed. She is 6 months old now and is healthy.

HI everyone!!! Sorry for the long delay it has been a crazy couple of weeks!!

Yoyo is over a month old now and doing so well! He's staying with my sister (who does not work) and her boyfriend until he is old enough to stay alone by himself while I work. I go over after work and on the weekends. So he basically has a team of parents caring for him between the three of us! Next week we will move him to my apartment, and my sister is good enough to stay at my place that week while he adjusts (to watch him during the day). So he will be about 8 weeks, the age at which the shelters here normally start adopting cats, by the time he's at my place alone during the workday.

We had a couple of really scary incidents with serious diarrhea, lethargy, general being-sick-stuff. It started small and then got very bad very quickly (over a couple of days). We thought he might die while waiting for the vet (this happened on the weekend, of course, when the vet is closed). But he seemed to fight off whatever it was and bounced back (replacing his water with Pedialyte helped A LOT - immediate improvement. Just FYI for anyone with a sick or dehydrated pet). We think he may have been eating litter, so we switched to recycled-newspaper pellets.

Now he's healthy and happy. Has been dewormed and had his vaccinations (booster shots in the next couple of weeks). He's off the bottle and has moved on to high-quality wet food with high-quality dry food crumbled in. He's starting to learn to jump on things and becomes more curious and fast and sneaky (seeing him learn to pounce, stalk, and hunt his toys and our feet has been amazing) every day. He has also doubled in size, if not more. I love that he is such a quiet kitten (except when he knows it's feeding time, but even then he's not that bad), and that he is good at entertaining himself for long periods of time with his toys and his fort.....when he's not sick he's rather easy to care for, really.

I'm really thankful for all of the support and help....I'm sure that the good vibes from people reading and wishing us well helped as well!

And yes.....I WILL UPLOAD SOME PICS AS SOON AS I CAN

PS I saw mention of a private message, not sure how to check those?

That is such great news! I know a lot of us were really rooting for him...on the edge of our seats waiting to hear an update. So happy he's making a come back.

You check your PMs in the upper right hand corner, in pink, right under where it says Welcome, triple_spiral.

Woop woop!
So happy!
I have a cat myself (Cartouch, 8 years old) and she looks just like an older version of your cat in fact, her sister really looked like your cat when she was little.

Unfortunately also bad news in catuniverse: my best friend's cat (Fritz, 12 years old) got hit by a car and passed away 2 days ago.

Too late for my cat who is used to going outside, but for other people with new cats: try to keep them inside unless you live in a really calm area
