BE COURTEOUS. BE TOLERANT. You're about to encounter many new friends in our community, with many new and interesting viewpoints. Please be respectful and tolerant of everyone you meet, even if you disagree with their opinions. Don't use language that is threatening, abusive, harassing, hateful or racially or ethnically objectionable. And don't engage in personal attacks. This includes NaturallyCurly.com staff, who work hard to keep our Community a fun spot to visit.

Obviously there was a misunderstanding. Why is there such abusive language when no malice was intended?

This is definitely a shock, and quite sad .
People rise to the standard expected of them. GC
She temporarily closed her Etsy shop recently, due to a "house fire". I hope that didn't contribute to her death. So sad.
So sad, loved the haiku thread.

Didn't know her, and don't remember the Haiku thread, but ((hugs to the curlies)).
I didn't know her, but I did enjoy the contribution that she has added to the colorful quilt that is NC.com

I would have joined in on the haikus, but I'm not very gifted in the poetry.

I'm so sorry to hear about another curly lost.

Mix of 3s, thick, coarse, medium porosity

Current hair styling technique: rake with a scrunch at the end. (works with my coarse hair)

Thank you SL & Multi. I'm really not a heartless person. Maybe I should have asked "Is she the curly who committed suicide" instead of labeling her. I really never meant any disrepect.

Any number of responses would've been more appropriate than, "Was she the suicide?" It did come across as blunt and heartless.

Lisa was a hilarious woman and a fellow Buffy 'shipper. She will be greatly missed by so many.

I haven't got the slightest idea how to change people, but I still keep a long list of prospective candidates just in case I should ever figure it out.
This is awful news. My condolences to her family and all her friends.

I know she hadn't posted in years but she was so central to shaping the culture of the non-hair board.

RIP )-:

I never got the chance to know LisaAnn on NC - guess I just missed out. So sad to hear about her death - I looked at her blog and website and she was a doll. Anyone who has pictures from Rudolph and the Grinch on their website is someone I would definitely like. I had asthma when I was around her age and feel thankful I made it through - almost didn't. I would have loved to have known her.

She straightened me out a time or two (as my mother would say.) And I posted several times on her Punch You In The Face thread. Rip LisaAnn. You are missed.

Leave Lotsa alone. She simply carelessly misworded her question without malicious intent, she's just as curious as the rest of us as to what happened.

I didn't know her personally, but Godspeed Lisa.
