I don't want to speak for others but think a simple apology is all people are looking for. It has yet to be given despite it being pointed out that the comment was insensitive.

Intention is irrelevant.

Where is her blog? I would like to read it.
I just looked at the thread Gekko422 brought back up yesterday and found some of LisaAnn's posts. Her blog is linked at the bottom of them.

Intent is completely relevant, she made it clear that she meant no harm. She was just inquiring about the situation which she has every right to since this is a public fourm open to all users.

If she does decide to apologize, I hope it'll put an end to this ridiculousness so we can all start talking about what happened with Lisa, otherwise the mods should just lock the thread now.

Can someone link the blog so I can see? I'm on the app and I never go on nc.com on my laptop because of the slowness.

Talk about insensitivity. Since you seem to have a morbid curiosity, the cause of her death was mentioned on page one. I hope you were able to find the link to her blog so you could put that morbid curiosity to rest.

Really??? Not the best choice of words in this thread about someone who has died that was a friend to many of us.

I did see the cause of death before I posted, but I'm sure there's more to be discussed otherwise a thread wouldn't have been created. Morbid curiosity? Please, I'm a medical student. I've seen plenty of dead bodies. My curiousity was put to rest long ago, I'm curious about the PERSON who died. I'm sad that I never got a chance to know her and never will!

With that said, I'm sorry yall. I know you guys are upset. No more insensitivity, I just don't like seeing people ganged up on. I felt like Lotsa wasn't being heard.

Oh for cripes sake, can we all please move on? Both parties have said their piece. Let's not continue to take away from the message of the thread. Let's remember and honor Lisa. Continuing to bicker on a thread created to honor her memory is disrespectful.

Perhaps it would've been more appropriate to say, "I'm so sorry to hear. What happened?" Or "I'm so sorry to hear. Do you know the cause?"

Any number of responses would've been more appropriate than, "Was she the suicide?" It did come across as blunt and heartless.

Lisa was a hilarious woman and a fellow Buffy 'shipper. She will be greatly missed by so many.
Exactly, PH. She might just be a random poster to some, but she was a real person and real friend to many of us. Her death was sudden and upsetting and to see someone responding like it was something to gawk at and just casually ask if she was 'the suicide' was offensive.
This exactly. I haven't posted in ages, but I met Lisa 10+ years ago... I vacationed with her, she has stayed in my home, we tried to get together whenever we were in the same city at the same time.... She wasn't just a random on a board to some of us.

A little sensitivity or thoughtfulness would have been warranted when you learn of a person passing. Even if that person meant nothing to you, who responds with a "was she the suicide" when you learn of a death? Seriously, who?

I am truly sorry if I offended anyone even tho' it was unintentional as I did explain in an earlier post. I do have to say that to have 2 people tell me to GFY is very rude and hurtful to me. I'm surprised the mods let that pass with nothing more than a post about rules.

Let's please carry on in this thread as it was intended.

RIP....LisaAnn.

How completely appropriate that on a thread honoring Lisa, the first thing Gekko does is call someone an idiot.
