rou, I'm with you. . . I can't watch the danger acts either. Can't even believe people find them entertaining. I have last night's episode to catch up on. I do enjoy seeing the different types of acts displayed on this show, though sometimes even if something is interesting I'm not sure how they could make a whole show out of it.

^^^exactly! i feel that some of the "danger acts" are very much one-trick ponies.

last night, it was the young men who really impressed me; in addition to Jonathan, there was the 16-year-old magician, the singer-songwriter that Heidi compared to John Mayer, and the man with the soprano (!) voice who proposed to his girlfriend.

those children doing ballroom dancing leave me cold - they did last year in their big group The Miami Allstars, too. it squicks me no end to see kids dressed up in such an adult fashion.

I totally freak out during the danger acts.

I hate heights, so my palms sweat uncontrollably when I watch it. Then I spend the whole time looking through my fingers, pressing my body back into the couch and saying: why is he/she (yeah, I'm looking at you Alexandria the Great!) doing that?!?!? Oh my goodness! Why are they doing that?!?!?!

I definitely love watching the show. (I only started watching for Howard and I'm glad I did because I really enjoy watching people perform well)

I agree, rou. I liked Jonathon and the 16 year old magician too. In fact, I thought his magic trick was better than most. I will have to say I did enjoy the Mariachi band too.

I know this kid was on AGT last year, but I'm still so impressed by this kid. He is a class act.

Anthem singer returns to Finals despite racist tweets

I was telling my husband about him. What I can remember is he was the nicest, politest kid. Those people with the racist tweets should be ashamed.

He is and continues to be a great kid. He took it all in stride and with poise.

And he sang the heck out of the national anthem!

I hate people sometimes. I live in OC, CA. When I read the OC register online, I practically go bat**** at the comments. If there is a HINT of the person not being white, the comments are horrendous. Or if a white person gets injured, the comments all blame illegals (code word for Hispanic around here I guess).

Darn it! I was so busy with Bella Pupparella last night that I didn't get a chance to watch tv! I missed it. I heard Howard talking about it this morning on his show. I really want to see the show.

Off to watch it on U-Verse.

Loved the "matrix" dancer; cannot get over the move he made when it looked like his head fell off his shoulders. Thought the lady on the unicycle was amazing. Really enjoyed the Armed Forces Wives Choir.

They were good!

I can't believe the brother and sister duo are only 15 and 13, lol. I'm waiting for them to be exposed as much older, like at least 18 years old. I liked them a lot, too.

when the operatic trio was shown before they went on stage and said that they had only met in person 2 days before and online a couple of months ago, i was prepared for it to be awful.

i was completely blown away with how well they did!

the young brother and sister and their band were amazing!!!

the Irish-hip-hop fusion dancers freaked me out with their gas masks (what's *that* about), but their dancing really wow-ed me!

why did they put through that screechy child? i had to cover my ears because i wasn't close enough to the remote to get to the mute button!!!!

rou, I wondered why they put through that screechy child too. She was awful.

Loved the trio at the end. I figured if they were saved for the end of the show they would be good. Didn't expect opera though. Loved them.

I will have to say though the comedian had me in tears from laughing. The line about his grandmother being a murderer cracked me up. I agree with Howard, besides being funny, he is quick and witty. His comeback line to Heidi was good. I just loved his stage presence!
