Default Feels like Florida in Pennsylvania!!

I shouldn't complain because our summers are just too short, but this humidity is almost unbearable. My husband, who must be nuts, went golfing in this heat. Would like to see the temperatures stay up like they have been but sure wish the humidity would break. At least I live in a rural area surrounded by woods. Can't imagine what it must be like in some of the larger cities with all that concrete. Hope everyone stays cool and gets through this.

It's really unpleasant in Columbus, OH. There is a high of 94 today w/ a heat index of 102. Muggy w/ no breeze.

It rained yesterday evening, so I'm worried about the humidity today. We can average 116, but that's usually with a dry heat, so it's somewhat bearable.

Are you new to Pennsylvania? It's always been hellishly-hot-and-humid here in the summers. The entire east coast actually.

I actually love this weather since I have an indoor job where I wear a granny cardigan all day and I like going to the pool when it's superhot(at least 90). But of course it gets hot when I don't have any free time after work or when I'll be out of town this weekend. Went to the pool sunday and was shivering around 7pm.

Lived here all 62 years of my life!!!

I know sometimes it can be very humid. Just seems extremely humid this year.

I can remember summers with the temps in the high 80's and no humidity. Those are wonderful!!

I know everyone is suffering in the heat right now, but I just have to say how much I love where I live:

87
84 heat index
30% humidity

it was this hot for a short time last July and i recall it being like this the first summer i lived here in 2006.

before that, last time i remember such a hot summer was 1995; Heather and Ian got married on the worst day of July!

It does seem extra hot and humid for longer periods of time than usual. It always feels like it's building up to a good storm or some tornado weather, which I can live without. It's even too hot for me to do much outside besides go to the beach, walk a bit, and sit on the porch.
The Jeep is black and bakes in the sun all day and has no AC, so I don't drive much when it's like this.

Every summer seems hot and miserable to me. I hate summer. Hate being sweaty. Hate. It.

Ironically, here in Florida our temps are below normal and we've had relentless rain for the past 4 weeks. Not curl-friendly weather! I almost miss the blazing July sun.

Stay cool, everyone!

I actually hate dry heat and prefer humidity. Two or three weeks ago, when the temp got to 121, I thought I was crazy for living in Phoenix.

I don't mind it that much. I have AC at home, plus my office jacks up the air, so I haven't spent much time outdoors this week. I would rather be hot than cold, personally. In the winter, I often never get warm enough, no matter how many layers I have on.

That day I lived in the pool. It was ridiculous.

I am the same way. I lived in St. Louis for a while, and I managed to get first bite on my hands two years in A row with two pairs of gloves on. I am definitely one of those people who do better when it is at least 80 outside.

We're in the middle of a heat advisory right now. It's humid in CT I let my child eat ice cream twice yesterday and she woke up with diarrhea...

I normally kind of love summer here because I can live in my Old Navy flip flops - but not this year! Stupid broken foot means I have to wear this nasty hot immobilization boot all the time - it's so dang hot. Only summer I have been more uncomfortable was 1996 when I was pregnant.
