What's the most important thing you can give your child

I think self-esteem and entitlement are two different things. Self-esteem is a favorable opinion of oneself and self-respect. Entitlement can mean that you feel something is owed to you by life in general or because of who you are or it could mean that you work hard for something and expect to reap the reward of your hard work.

There's been a lot of good answers here that I agree with. One other thing that I feel is important is the feeling of security within the family.
From Michael Berg:

Every person has a unique connection to the Creator that can never be extinguished, and every person has a great soul that can manifest important things in our world. To make a person feel less than they are because of something inside themselves, be it faith, race, or sexual orientation, is the greatest sin of all."
