Default moving involuntarily

For as long as I can remember (childhood), whenever I would sit and hunch forward, my body would rock front to back ever so slightly. And when I sit up and cross one leg over the other, the leg on top kicks back and forth ever so slightly. Both legs.

This isn't like an obvious, exaggerated rocking as seen in kids who grow up in orphanages. It's very subtle; you have to be looking very closely to see it.

It's 100% involuntary and I cannot stop it.

What is it?

Nervous energy? My sister's body moves constantly. She's rarely still and she's a bit hyper.

The movement continues even if I'm asleep. It's super subtle. Like my leg moves only about 1/8 inch. And it's completely rhythmic and never slows down or speeds up. I mean, it's totally involuntarily and I didn't even know it was happeneing until someone noticed it.

Could it be my heartbeat making my whole body move?

It happens to me too. I don't know why.

Like did you just notice this now or have you always been aware of it? Has anyone else ever noticed?

I've noticed it for a while now. The last several times that I sat a certain way. I think it's too subtle for anyone else to notice.

I get something like that when I move a certain way as well. And my knees kick like mad when they test my reflexes with that rubber hammer thing.

Could it be that you just have strong reflexes? Or a muscular tremor that strikes from time to time in certain poses?
