Will a Smartphone change my life??

I don't do Twitter or Instagram. I set up an Instagram account when it was brand new. I love photography (even though phone cameras suck) and that hobby makes up the majority of my app's. I immediately canceled my account. Nope! I have no need for more time sucks.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

I do have to say, I adore the 300 reference in the 2nd article I posted

The phone I have now is basically the second one, different brand same look. My friends find it hysterical.
I'm a technology geek. And I think you will benefit from it. I personally like Samsung as a Brand. As for phones I would recommend you choose an iPhone 4, 4s, 5 or Samsung Galaxy 3,4/ Galaxy Note 2, 3. But mostly the Galaxy Line. I have helped 4 people get the galaxy 3's instead of iPhone 5's and they love it. I have the Galaxy 3 as well. But if anything stay in the apple/Samsung category, they're the top 2 cell phone brands and in my opinion put out the best products. I just wouldn't get the 5s something about the fingerprint stuff is fishy to me. (Ps. More people have androids in the world than Apple's) Good Luck!

If I am going on a trip, I can get directions in advance. I know where most things are, 60 miles around me, in every direction. I don't need to be fooling with my phone as I drive. I can print it off and look at it in larger, easier to read, print. I can use a paper map in a pinch Aerial Photos/Satellite images often run far behind in updates. Drones collect the picture and it can take 2 years to update the info, and by that time several things are outdated anyway. I also have no need to keep tabs on children. I search for people 12 hours a day. I don't not want to on my day off. For some thats not a valid option to spend much more monthly

Or to stay tethered to yet another device.

*I hope I can get a lap top before this phone dies. As soon as I upgrade, I loose unlimited data, and my bill goes from an already large amount to crazy. I will be going to standard phone, if time and money allows.

Now TRACFONE needs to die! So does VOIP. Those are two of the most misleading devices/services known to man. Nothing shows up correctly when you dial 911. On TF, your location shows as the cell tower you are pinging off of and that has to be the number one phone used to call 911 and scream bloody murder, or fight with the person beside you, and never actually say where you are.

So I'm going to go ahead and get one. My job just gave us a little bonus check for all the headaches their new computer/payroll system has given us over the past year. I figure it's mad money and a sign I should treat myself.

At first Iwas looking at the iphone 5 because it was the most recognizable name to me. Right now i have an ipod classic for music and audiobooks/podcasts.

But then as I've researched I like the Samsung phones a little better. But it seems like the Samsungs all come in 16gb where the Iphone you can get 32gb.

I'm trying to sort out the best of the xSamsungs, Galaxy 4s, Note II or the new Note 3.

Opinions?
Those are all good choices. I'm biased toward Samsung Galaxy S4. After Blackberry stops making smartphones for regular people, this is where I will be going.

And in general, it's just more advanced and a lot more flexible than the iphones...i'm saying this based on convos i've had w/ friends w iphones. (I haven't had an iphone in years.) But I love mine and would never want anything else. Except a Note III or Note IV in the future!

eta -- IDK anything about the Note III, but i'm assuming it's probably just like mine but better (is that possible??? LOL). So def consider that, one, too.
