looking for raincoats

Vietnam rains alot! i cant count how many times i was caught in a flash rain while riding and end up being soaked head to toe. i usually stop by a street stall and buy a flimsy poncho for 2$ then toss it out when im done with it. so im looking for nice raincoats before heading back.

i have trouble with mens jackets because even in the small size the arms tend to be to long. womens jackets tend to fit better. and i dont give a sh1t what people think about me wearing female jackets. i found these that i like so far. my favorites in order are yellow, white, beige then red. any other suggestions ladies?

I like the yellow too

Yellow!

I love yellow rain coats. I don't know why. Maybe it's because the Morton's Salt Girl always makes me associate a bright and happy yellow with pouring rain.

When are you going back?

Consider the material. Is the weather likely to be hot? A rubberized raincoat may be uncomfortable. I can't read any details but sometimes they are made with holes like portholes under the arms for breathability.

If the white raincoat is plasticized or rubberized it will clean easily, otherwise if it is a cloth material it will get filthy so avoid white cloth even though it is nice looking.

Yellow is cheerful in rain. I like the beige (although it may be too boring for you) and the red. Consider the length and make sure there is a hood - I think all of them have it but I can't tell for sure.

its crazy hot and humid so the lighter the material the better. ill probably buy the yellow and the white ones. yellow has a nice style and its easily seen in a rainstorm. i will use it while im riding my motorbike so it for safety reasons also. i like the white one but it could be hard to clean and its way more expensive than the yellow one. any others on sale at the moment on the web?

I just want to know when you will get to see your sweet baby girl.

Why would stocking up on the flimsy $2 rain pochos be a bad idea? Seems like it would be cooler for the summer and warmer for the winter (thrown over your regular coat)...

But if I had to pick, I'd go w/ the yellow one above. It just looks like what a raincoat should be like.

OBB, you are going to rock whatever raincoat you choose. I'm so proud of you for being there for your little girl and I know it isn't easy making the trips. Hugs, kisses for you.

Yeah, definitely the yellow one and the white one on the left! *Nods.*

Spiderlashes theres no winter in VN its always hot  as for the cheap 2$ rain ponchos they are quite flimsy. im pretty sure theyre made of saranwrap because they rip easily. use once and discard like a condom. i forgot to add ill be wearing it while riding my motorbike so no hood is necessary since im wearing a helmet.

welp i checked the jackets above online and the prices range from 150$ - 350$. i had some time today before work so i hopped into TJ Maxx and saw this. its a mens Pearl Izumi bike riding jacket. it was the only one there and fit me perfectly(ofcourse the arms were 3 in too long ) but best of all it was 60$! online they range between 125-250$. too bad they didnt have another color. i still want to get the yellow raincoat but havent found a site that would sell it for less than 200$.

I like the color. Zippy! Good color for a rainy day - too bright for a very sunny day.
