Default How are you doing with your Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanzaa/Whatever shopping?

Christmas is big in my family with lots of presents for everyone (not just for kids and no exchanging names, everyone get a bunch of gifts) so I start shopping right after Christmas and buy things throughout the year.
I'm pretty much done except for some things I'm making and some non-family gift exchanges.

Not started. Not even thought about it and can't be bothered. Suppose I'll have to get my backside into gear soon.

I'm down to two gift cards and a small craft project (I had a friend design an iron on decal for my sister. I have to iron it on)
It's not a huge holiday for us, but big enough. I buy for all of the immediate family, nieces , nephews etc. A few friends a co workers. I like getting it done early, I can shop sales and also spread out my financial outlay. I also cannot stand crowds so it works for me.
I took my sister out Christmas shopping last weekend and she got everything in a couple of hours (we had done some online shopping too)

My goodness, Perri you are tres organized! I haven't begun. Thanksgiving and Hanukkah start the same day this year - very confusing. Are turkey's kosher? (jk)

I have an app on my phone to track everything. I'm a little obsessed.

Christmas shopping used to be a trip in the snow, going from store to store. Not the same anymore. First of all, I don't buy nearly as many presents. Second, am pretty much done and I did it all on line!!! So much for a fun outing and day of shopping!

Not started at all. I only do gift Visa cards, though. I will probably get my mom a little something extra and when my nephews were smaller I bought them gifts to unwrap. They are moving into the tweens and teens now so I let them get what they want.

I know what I'm getting my kids. I've already bought some of the small things. I will get a few more things this wknd. And I am waiting for sales at Best Buy for the electronics -- maybe Black Friday (I won't have the kids then so I can shop). I don't like having to hide so much stuff from them (too risky that they'll find it before Christmas), but I am tired of scrambling around a couple of days before and battling the crowds and traffic and being told that certain things have sold out or whatever.

Both kids have bdays shortly before Christmas, too, so I have to do a lot of shopping this time of year.

I never know what to get my parents. My father is disabled and my mother already has everything.

If I'm dating someone, I just ask him what he wants.

Will probably get my kids' teachers and daycare provider gift cards to Bath & Bodyworks. No brainer gift.

I rarely get friends anything unless it's a gag gift or a good bottle of wine or similar if I'm invited for dinner or to a party. If I know they patronize a certain store or restaurant a lot, I will get them a gift card for it.

I'm terrible at selecting gifts for other ppl. Very stressful for me.

I've made a list and ordered two gifts so far ... a lot more to go, but I have to spread it out by paycheck.

me too! it really stresses me out

I did find some Etsy stuff with the union jack on it for my mom - isn't your mom Irish? perhaps they have something similar? my mom also has everything so lately I've been sticking with the Union Jack stuff (and this year a pictoral history of Queen Elizabeth 2 from amazon) - she loves the monarchy.

We have Thanksgiving at my sister's house and she is Jewish so the meal will be extra fun this year. Turkey and stuffing and pumpkin pie and matzo ball soup and latkes and kugel. : )

If we lived close (all my curlfriends) I'd volunteer to buy all your gifts for you! I love to buy presents. If $10,000 dropped out of the sky in my lap (when dodo birds fly) I would spend at least half on buying presents for people I love. [I'd spend the other half buying presents for me - but you all knew that didn't you?]

Well, I bought t-shirts for the three men in my life today. Was just going to get them for my sons but it was 3 for $50 so the SO got one too. I'm sure they'll be thrilled. They refuse to come clothes shopping with me so this is what I'm doing.
I do most of my shopping online as most of my presents have to get to the UK and postage has gone through the roof in recent times, I refuse to pay it unless I have to.
Bah, humbug!

Almost done. the hardest to shop for are the teenage boys. I got them fleece/Sherpa hoodies.

The comic book is coming along nicely. The kidnap scene worked out well. I started combining images last night. so excited

Necklaces are almost done for the nieces. Just waiting on a few more charms to show up.

Most of the jams/jellies are done. I need to do the sweet hot pickles and raspberry chocolate sauce

I need to figure out something for my manager. I'm struggling with that one

I want to be done by Thanksgiving
