Things That Made You Happy/Smile Today

My friend who had a birthday surprised me with a gift: little plastic dogs, one in the shape of a poodle and one a bull terrier.

(Confession: I played with them all over the table at Starbucks when she went to the powder room.)

I'm not one to get all googly-eyed over kids, but there was simply the cutest toddler in a café who kept passing by me (his mother was in the table next to mine and he was walking back and forth toward her) and each time he'd smile at me. Adorable!
Watching The X Factor tonight - it's really very good this year.

I'm on one of my rare and much-needed cleaning/organization binges. I also remembered how best to use the Swiss pony tail holder I bought, so I can have a comfortable neck on this hot and humid day.

After months of searching, we found a house we want to put an offer on!! Whether or not the seller will accept the offer is another story...

Better yet, it's my future hubby's grandparent's old house. And my grandmother's sister lived right across the street. Cross your fingers for us! Just the thought makes us both giddy!

I did, and I blogged about him, too. I also sent a picture of him to a client of mine with a young daughter, so she can learn about animals (I like to get to 'em young, so they're nice and compassionate asap).

^ I started reading and then realised it was pointless as I hadn't seen any of the newer films and couldn't remember the originals!

A surprise 30th birthday picnic party in the park for a friend from work. The weather gods were kind and it was the warmest day we've had here for months.

He's skinny, too. Ime, squirrels are rarely skinny. In fact, sometimes when I watch them through my office window, I wonder just how low the branch they jump to next will sink when they land.

Poor Buddy!
--------------------
This morning when I was walking the girls, I noticed a squirrel silently passing above us on a wire. As soon as he could, he moved from a single wire to a double, moving effortlessly between the two. I named him "Mr. Tightrope, aka Stealth Squirrel."
