Chores and bores

Like Tree3Likes

What do you enjoy doing that many people find a chore or a bore?

Conversely, what activity do many people enjoy that you avoid?

Me - love to shop, including for other people

Don't like to cook, garden, or do crafts (but I wish I were crafty!).

You? What's fun for you that many hate to do and what do you dislike doing that others seem to enjoy?

Just starting a thread that isn't spam!

ETA: I hate getting massages, manicures and pedicures. Borrriinnngg!!!

I really hate shopping. Grocery shopping not such a big deal but endless wandering looking trying on. Yuck.

I also really hate vacuuming. I often say I'd rather clean someone else's toilet than Vacuum

I don't mind doing laundry or emptying the dishwasher

I love to sit in a park and watch nature. This rarely bores me but I know others who can't stand it.

I hate clothes shopping. If I could just buy them online I would. I also hate makeup. I never use it and wouldn't even know where to begin lol. I love watching nature like perri said just watching the birds or squirrels outside fascinates me. I could do that for hours. Oh, and I hate celebrity gossip tv shows. When my mom would turn the tv on to one of those channels I would walk out of the room lol
Medium texture, normal porosity, normal elasticity
I quite like ironing, so long as I have something to watch on the telly as I do it.

Hate sitting on a beach, however stunning it may be, can't think of anything more boring than a beach holiday.

I like doing laundry, but hate putting it up.

Love clothes shopping, and am only a moderate fan of grocery shopping. I can be in and out of a grocery store in no time flat.

Love to vacuum, hate to mop.

Adore nature, which is one of the many reasons why I am happy at home. I can't think of any place I would rather be than in the woods. I do like going to the beach, here and there, but it's not my ideal vacation either. I love the sound of the waves, I like watching the sun rise and set over the ocean, but other than that it gets boring kind of quick. If there were a ton of dolphins playing, I would change my mind, but really there is not much to look at. Sand, water, burning hot sun.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

^ I do love boats, though.

^ That's it, it's like "Oh this is a great view..... Now what?"!
I've never lived far from the sea though and wouldn't like to be away from the coast, even though I find hills and countryside more my thing.

I can't cut grass or shovel snow bc of my back injury...but I have always hated it.

I like cooking as long as it's not for a huge group.

I've never tried gardening...not sure how I would/will like it.

Getting nails done. Hate doing it but like the end result.

I enjoy organizing closets and drawers.
Well, as everyone who has read my many complaints knows, I hate doing dishes. Two days ago I received confirmation from the universe that this is not for me when I hit my head on a clean pot handle that was facing out in the drainboard. I had bent over to leash a dog, when WHAM! into my forehead went the handle. Now it's Arnica gel for me, lest I get a(nother) head bruise I'm too embarrassed to explain. (I'm absent-minded around the house, and have had a few injuries over the years.)

I am now considering paying someone to wash my dishes once a week. I have also found biodegradable "paper" plates.

I like doing laundry.
I like doing bills and paperwork.
I love working in the yard/garden.
I like shoveling snow.

I do not like clothes shopping.
I do not like going to a salon for anything - hair cuts, mani/pedi. I prefer doing that stuff at home.
I hate running the sweeper (yes I would rather clean toilets then vaccum).
I hate ironing (and really just don't do it anymore).

When my daughter was a baby, I used to LOVE doing her laundry. The cute little dresses and stretchies and things used to make me so happy to play with.

I hate to clean or cook. I would much rather mow the lawn and do the flowerbeds...be outside. If we had a pool...clean it.

I love paying bills, balancing checkbooks, organizing and cleaning out.

I love to shop...not just for me but for people. I like to spend people's money (keeps me from spending mine). I need to become you guys personal shoppers of clothes etc. LOL!

I thought most pple didn't enjoy grocery shopping and cleaning in general? I didnt list them for that reason.
I like squeezing blackheads. It's gross, I know, I can't defend it. Those pore strips for your face? So immensely satisfying. I also love cleaning my house, running errands and working through a list of things-to-do. I'll add jobs I've already completed to that list, just so I can have the satisfaction of checking them off.

I love cooking for large groups of people. I love the organisation involved, the pressure, the feeling of being busy; I can total block everything else out and concentrate on what I'm doing. It also means i don't have to socialise with aforementioned large group of people..

On the basis of that, unsurprisingly the thing that other people like, but I dislike the most; socialising in large groups of people. I find it draining and after about 45 minutes I'm ready to make a hasty retreat and take a nap. That, and New Girl. I just can't get into that show.
Hair Type: 3a+3b high porosity.
Products: Semi Di Lino Nutritive Shampoo (sulfate free), Muk Spa Argan Oil Repair Conditioner, Coconut Oil + KCCC.
