Am I the only person on earth besides my ex who hated When Harry Met Sally?

I loved this "remake," though.

I've never actually watched that movie. I've had it on a few times, seen parts of it, but never actually watched the whole thing.
I can see I'd hate it because the main characters strike me as the type that I usually find unbearable in sitcoms.
(See How I Met Your Mother for prototypical unbearably smug, insufferable posers who think they're awesome and need to get off my TV screen)

I am glad I am not alone. ^

Yay! My client liked my last draft, although I was warned she was fussy, hard to please, and a bit difficult. I've found her to be nothing but a pleasure.

And.......I may get to start on the quarterly newsletters the company generates. That would make me happy indeed. I could maintain my affiliation with a great group of people (and get paid for it, plus they always have chocolate around), and not have to turn myself into an uber-marketer, which I just don't have the drive for. I'll write for any source besides porn and the killing of animals, but marketing is best left to the socializers (imo).

(P., you may disagree with me here. Are marketers generally outgoing?)

Anyway, yay!

(C'mon ad agency, ramp up your workload and start using me more........ Please?)

This calls for dinner.

I ain't thirsty. There's plenty of fish in the sea, but I don't want all of them, can I have some standards? Or do we just have to settle, for someone's who meh and will do.

Are those cherry trees in bloom? And red lanterns (do they mean something special?)?

Pretty!
They are "markers" for street festivals, and in this season they have "Cherry Blossom Festivals" and the age old tradition of getting drunk under the cherry trees. They are also there to indicate that the area is a good viewing spot for whatever event there is, cherry blossoms, parades etc. pretty niffty idea.

We have a Cherry Blossom Festival near my hometown in GA every year around the time of my birthday. Your picture (strangely) makes me homesick. Very pretty, kayb!!

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

We have a Blossom Time festival here, too. I doubt I'd attend without being drunk.
You've summoned her! You've summoned her! You've gone and opened Pandora's box or that puzzle thingy from Hellraiser.

Thank you, oh Great Doggie, for helping me not to owe the guberment this year, since I just learned I have to pay for my extra mammograms and ultrasound (thanks, Aetna!).

No problems? Insurance covers it all. Need more info or find a problem? Insurance says, "Screw you."

I spent nearly $40 on two tiny lamb chops, a glass of red wine and a plate of spinach last night. I had to pay for the lamb chops and the spinach separately. If I had known the restaurant would be that pricey, I'd have eaten before the book club meeting.
