SIB, where I go isn't cheap when compared to the $25 or so that I pay at a Dominican place for wash, curlers, blow-dryer, and flat-ironing, but it is cheap compared to what the big names charge for curly cuts. What's your budget?

I don't know Saria, I'm used to those $30 hair cuts lol. I would like to try a curly hair place though. My sister suggested a place, I think she said it'll be around $80. Is that a good price? I don't think I'm willing to go over $100.

The dress looked great! I definitely prefer the new shorter haircut...frames your face so nicely.

SIB, I pay just a bit under that for my cuts, which isn't that easy to find here in NY, with Deva cuts easily costing in the hundreds.
The salon experience is so nice and brief, which I love. Dominican places you wait forever, then it's an hour under the dryer (for me), then the unpleasantness of the blow dryer, and sometimes the flat-iron after. The first curly cut I had, I was shocked how fast I was out of there and how pleasant it was!

Well, the nearest one isn't that close, but I hate the mall where Sephora lurks so much that I'd rather just go to a little old Ulta. I need some lip balm anyway.

Yea, I have to spend an hour under the dryer too. I'm tired of Dominican salons any way, I would like to try a different place, the prices scare me off a bit but I know its worth it. I haven't cut my hair in a year! My hair needs some serious tlc.

On vacation and just checking in real quick so I've probably missed a bunch of posts but --
kat - great hair!!
Spring - hope calvin is better.
And as for your gram's pickles - were they the small, very sweet, very dark blue-green gherkins? The ones my mom and gram used to make had a different texture - not crispy but not soft or soggy either. They had cloves in them. I think they used to call them sulfur pickles maybe? That might be the wrong word tho.

Why does drinking vodka make me feel like I need to pee? I don't think any other spirit has this effect on me. Or maybe they do...

That does come close to describing them, the color and texture.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

Thank you Kasden!
I find myself scared to let him do anything, even when he gets better. This has the potential to be really bad if it gets worse. Now I'm going to be scared to play with him, let him run, take him for a walk...all those things he loves.
He was barking his fool head off at the wind earlier so at least he's feeling better in that respect.

Today* I quite love eBay. Once I finally got off my procrastinating tookus and listed some stuff, I couldn't stop finding things around here to sell. Sure helps in the de-cluttering before the move!!
*This could very well change if someone buys something and turns out to be a nutjob and makes it a hassle.
