Speaking of sour, boy, does this sourdough starter smell......different. I wonder what will happen when I finally use it?

Yes, but it's just....weird. Strong.

I'm going to go for it within the next few days.

I have moderate expectations.

I got a new dress. It's cute. Also, black, which apparently I wear entirely too much of, according to my dad.

Picture please, Miss Kenzie. Thank you!

This is my first sourdough starter, missp. I love sourdough bread but can rarely find any that's sour and crunchy/crusty enough out here in the sticks. If I can manage to learn to make it myself, I will be very glad. Otherwise, well, I'll stick with the French (though it lacks that snap I like so well in sourdough).

Have you kept one going forever? I read I can leave it in the 'fridge and not feed it if I have to.
New dress = pictures. Its curly law.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

Yes!

New and/or drastic hair change = picture.

New dress=picture.

Shoes? Always appreciated, along with all pets.

However, don't you dare try on gorgeous shoes that you don't buy and then post the pic and torture us, a la Jeepy.
Ninja, everything misspam said. You can leave it for a while, but eventually you have to refresh it. You can dry it though, and I hear some freeze it as well.

As I was walking home, I passed by one of the nearby produce markets and do these people not know how to properly store veg? Spinach and dandelion greens outside instead of inside keeping cool and getting misted once in a while. So, of course they were most certainly looking rather sad and wilted, awaiting an agonizing end.
The aquarium with just my man was amazing. Got some awesome pics too. I'll have to start a thread tomorrow. Sea otters are quite possibly the cutest things ever.

I apologize for the bra straps. I was too lazy to find a black strapless bra. The straps criss-cross in the back, and you can change how far up they're crossed, but I didn't discover that until after I had tried it on. And the next size down fit my body better, but uh....my cups runneth over in it. So next size up it was!

Okay, Full dress:

There's pintucks and lace all the way down the bodice, and this is the best picture I could get of it....

There's also lace between the tiers of the skirt, and this is the best picture I could get of it (it's the same pattern as the lace on the bodice, but pulled up and over my hand so you could see the pattern)

Very cute! I have been told for years I wear too much black. Whatever. I like it
