If it's been cremated why even bother with it? It's only going to taste burnt!
Please excuse errors, I'm psoting on my phone

Yup. I get not liking certain things for whatever reason, but some of the lists are a mile long, and others just show that people haven't had anything but the commercial, vastly inferior versions of certain items and don't even know what actually constitutes said food.

Exactly. Well-done is one step away from total destruction. Add to that an 'extra extra' and is anything left but a pile of ashes??? Why eat red meat at all at that point? I don't get it.

Mochi, mochi, mochi, I love you! You're chewy and gooey and healthy and good, and a perfect vehicle for siracha sauce.
Thanks for being you.

Aw!
I think I like chini best in baggy trousers.
The widow pic was funny, too.
Thanks, kas!

Mochi is a brown rice mold (as in shape, not fungus) that you cut into pieces bake. It comes in different flavors, but I always get plain.
Siracha is a thin, red hot sauce. I've mostly seen it used at Thai restaurants, but Saria may know more about other cuisines in which it appears. All I know is that if it weren't against dental law, I'd brush my teeth with the stuff, I love it so much.
I recommend both.

Few things are as rewarding and thrilling to me as leaving flour, water, and the tiniest bit of yeast for an hour and coming back to see and hear it bubble away. Sigh.
And then mixing that into a dough, and kneading. How wonderful kneading feels! From a rough, shaggy mass to a smooth, elastic, tacky but not sticky, squishy ball of goodness. It's always hard for me to stop playing with it, it's just such a nice feeling.
Now to wait . . .

I love the way dough smells as it's rising. I think I need to break out the yeast and make something.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

Altruism cakes taste like cardboard and have the density of lead. They're gross. I like my cakes with a nice, thick, schadenfreude frosting, TYVM.

It is a great smell!
This dough is for zataar flatbreads. I'm having one with egg salad.

Hrmm, I printed a focaccia recipe the other day so that would be great with egg salad. That's on my weekend lunch or dinner list now!
