There's a day care center near my office and when the weather is nice they walk the kids around the block and over to the park across the street. I call them "kids on a rope" because they walk in a line along a rope with loops that they hold onto. They are so adorable. There always seems to be one kid who's crying his eyes out and all the others are laughing and having a grand time. They wave at me and I wave at them. And sometimes 1 or 2 will trip and then they all fall like dominoes.
I find it immensely amusing.

I have in fact see The Illusionist. I prefer The Triplets because of the music and I love musicals and that grandma was bad ass 
The Illusionist is an interesting story and the ending made me sad 
I also wanted to watch Paris J'taime and see what he does with real life actors, but I haven't been able to find it.
ETA: Never mind, found it. Will watch and report. 
It's from The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories; so many good ones in there. Like this one that I read this week

Davin is in this phase where he loves tossing things. DVDs, books, laundry, toys...if it's small enough, he'll toss it. Pick up, toss, pick up, toss. It would be funny if I wasn't the one who had to clean it all up.

My little one's softball team finally got a win!! All the parents were over the moon and I think we were more excited than the girls were. I'm so happy for them!

I got accepted into a really awesome, competitive writing program for this summer!! it's four weeks away from home. spending time with other art-y and writing-y teens. getting personalized instruction, spending time and effort on just writing...and i'm good enough. I got accepted!!

Who knew pine nuts made your mouth taste bitter for days after consumption? I thought I was dying of cancer and did a Google search. I've never had pine nuts, but I had a pasta dish on Tuesday with it.
The take away? Google is your friend, people! And pine nuts are the debbil (for some people). Go ahead, look it up!

If you've had pesto, you've most likely had pine nuts since it's one of the ingredient in basil pesto, which is the pesto that most people are familiar with.
It's not really true that pine nuts make some people's mouths taste bitter. It seems to be a problem only with Chinese pine nuts, which are much cheaper and more available. So, don't give up on pine nuts just yet (especially if you encounter cookies or biscotti made with them).
