Ah! What a relief... I finally have all of my "big" shopping done for my trip. Good thing, too... Seeing as I leave on Sunday!
Now I just have to buy stupid little things, like body wash. And perhaps a pair of pajama pants...

I wish I could hire one of you wonderful ladies to babysit for me. I can't leave Calvin home alone for the next 4-6 weeks (he's got major crate issues and would just further hurt himself trying to get out, he's ok if someone is here with him) and I have no idea how I'll get out and do the errands I need to do.
Or how I'll attend my honeys promotion ceremony that I'm supposed to participate in.
Maybe I can find a local dog sitter that would come stay at the house for a few hours. I'll just feel strange having someone in the house that I don't know.
Calvin says thank you VERY much for the well wishes.

Exciting, SCG! I went shopping for conditioner, soap, and deodorant and got teased a bit about how much of everything I got. I leave on Sunday, too, though obviously not as far as you! But I do not want to run out of anything I can't get there, so I'd rather have extra!

Would he be ok in doggie daycare? I can't remember where you are in CT, but the people at Woodbury Pet Commons are very nice if you're anywhere near there. I hope he feels better soon. I hate seeing unhappy doggies. Is he allowed treats? Would love to send some your way to make him feel better. PM me.

I've got to keep him as immobile as possible so daycare (even crated) isn't an option. I think he'd be too stimulated and wanting to jump around and he's got to be as still as possible. Thank you for the suggestion though! And for the offer of treats, I'm pretty sure I saw Calvin's ears perk up.

There's a very fine line about what you can and cannot disclose. If your company has a lawyer on retainer, you could check with her/him, but the risk of liability is high.
Of course I agree that this jerk deserves to be outed, but not only did I formerly work with lawyers, I also checked references for a "large national insurance company" and the rules have tightened significantly since then.
Really, I'm just trying to cover your @ss. The hell you would face in court if a lawsuit is indeed instigated is worse than the @ss-kicking this guy deserves.
I'm sorry things work this way, but they do.

And Saria, I did the same thing! I also forgot to get a cart, so I was walking around with armfuls of hygiene products! I always bring way too much with me, but otherwise I worry about whether or not I'll have enough! I figure it's a pretty harmless habit to have...

Ninja, that's so very sweet of you. Calvin loves his aunt.
We're on hour 5 of the crate confinement (I've dubbed it Cr8 H8 ) and this is gonna be a loooooooooooong 4-6 weeks.
