Hi, Naturalista! I've missed you!
-----------
Legends, he just recommended some resources for learning string theory (his specialty; my ongoing confusion). I am amazed he took the time and energy. What a great guy!

p.s. I love, love, loved the Mayor. Loved him.

I'm going to be working with these people and living with them. That's an ungodly amount of hours. And we all know I play so well with others and I'm totally gregarious.

Oh, my. Invest in earplugs, dear.
ONE BATHROOM?!?

Oh my dear Saria... I'm sorry.

Here's hoping the enjoyment of this opportunity far outweighs the number of times someone shuts the bathroom door and triggers your waterworks (or worse).

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
Oh man, Xander...it's like they tried to distill the essence of obnoxious into one boy, added a disproportionate amount of gay panic and then tried to give him depth afterward. And when it comes to Willow, I seem to completely compartmentalize different aspects of her character: I cringe at her painfully forced inability to feign less awkwardness or act evil in life-and-death situations (come ON, Joss, we get it, Willow is cherry pie despite having dabbled in infidelity) but I still enjoy it when she stakes a vampire with a floating pencil. I also cannot comment on Alyson Hannigan's acting because I cannot get past her many extreme faces.

And now: Mr. Whedon, what the hell. It's like a few days until the Ascension or lack thereof - are we supposed to seriously believe that he's be doing this breakup business now, instead of waiting three damn days to see if they live first, knowing how protective he is of her emotions? Will you stop at nothing to have your McAngsty's delivered when you want it?

ETA: Saria, I am diverting my rant energy toward hoping those 7 people will be far less infuriating than your past co-workers.
OMG, LOOK!!

...It's a siggie.

I mean, I knew staff was going to be living in one place, but I envisioned that we wouldn't be quite so together. They seem nice enough, but people always get on each other's nerves. Always. I decided never again with roommates and now it's roommate hell. This is some ****ing Real World ****. And I'm especially talented at rubbing people the wrong way. Now I have to put in extra effort to not piss people off with my loner ways, buy it's inevitable. There will be lists with chores, and grocery items, and why god, why? *end whining*

Wild_sasparilla, now that I know you're past the curse business, I can repost this brilliant rant someone wrote:

Re: Angel's curse.

YES!!! Angel's soul curse is one of the most moronic, contrived, lame-brained conceits I've ever heard! Just restore his soul so he'll feel guilt forever, not until he cheers up and then becomes evil!

And, jeez, were those gypsies a bunch of touchy overachievers or what?? One lady in their community is killed... one! So do they just kill Angel and be done with it? No! They go through this crazy-ass ritual to torment this one ******* vampire just so he can be sad forever, even though I'm sure the high from this particular scheme will wear off pretty quickly, and the fact that said punished vampire can easily become a sociopathic killer again just by being happy renders the whole damn punishment pretty moot, doesn't it?

And doesn't "true happiness" vary from person to person? What if sex wasn't the thing that makes Angel "truly happy"? What if a glorious sunset was enough to revert him to Angelus?!!? A bunch of ducklings? A double rainbow?

Come to think of it, how the **** did Angel avoid happiness for so long??? Yeah, I know he had that whole "becoming evil again" thing hanging over his head, but it wasn't as if he was incapable of feeling happiness! Nubile little Buffy certainly proved that! Why didn't the gypsies sweeten the curse by not only restoring Angel's soul, but giving him eternal anhedonia to boot, just for ****s and giggles??

Joss Whedon, you are made of stupid!
Missed you too Ninja! how have you been? Hope everyone is well. I'm going to try and sleep now. Work had been crazy and I only slept like maybe 24 hrs this week. I really don't know how I'm doing it, but something is holding me up.

OMG YES. That entire rant is made of win! I have been scratching my head at that "one true moment of happiness" deal since it was introduced - so an orgasm is "true happiness" and nothing else is? And Angel's never jerked off or had sex as a vampire? Ummm, no. So, having sex with someone he loves is "true happiness," and again, no other moment of being with the one he loves can make him as happy? This just in: the whole world revolves around sex. Also, even with the "it's not your fault, Buffy"s thrown in, it majorly rubbed me the wrong way that by and large, nothing has happened to dispel the notion that having sex for the first time was a terrible thing for Buffy to do and that it was bound to lead to something terrible. There's been no expanding on "it's not your fault" to make it seem like more than empty words, and it's like in-universe it's just fact that a young woman having sex will rain hell down upon the world. Also, that episode was called "Innocence." Subtle.

Heh, and wait till you see what happens season 7. Then you really know Joss Whedon just pulled some completely illogical contrived ******** out of his ass.
Buh.

Buh. Buh.

Why do I do this?

I've got to say, the Season 3 finale students-vs-demonic-madness battle was super cute. But what about that dude who Xander helped get out of the closet who's been made into a running gay panic joke?? He seemed like a sweet guy after coming out and he landed on the ground, was he unconscious or dead? I need to know this, people! I didn't need to see Wesley whimper and whine or the most awkward kissing in the world, I want to see if the guy whose name I can't remember but who I like better than a good chunk of the regular cast made it out of the fight!

Oh, and Angel, you douche, you do know that turning up again for that last lingering look did negate your "I'm not going to say goodbye" announcement. You are like a yo-yo of angst, man.

Alright, just one more: David Boreanaz, what is up with your facial expressions?? They continue to bug me with their gaspy-open-mouthedness. Okay, now I'm done.

Bwahahahaha! Somehow, after seeing my school used for Harvard in movies before, I am so much more amused by the fact that they've used it for UC Sunnydale. This is hilarious! I'm all "GAH! I walked by there today! I know the names of everything! Buffy WTF R U doin in ma house?!"

You not enjoying it all then :P lol. Personally I was never much of a Buffy/Angel fan - too much angst and depression between them.

Spoilers below with the pairings I loved instead:

I really loved Buffy/Spike in the much much later episodes - well hell I just love Spike lol and Angel/Cordelia in the Angel spin off. Because guess what - she actually made Angel smile and joke around and be happy. Those two had a really beautiful relationship that wasn't all doom and gloom like A/B was.
lol I keep highlighting and looking away, like "I already know Spike and Buffy somehow happen at some point, I bet that's in there though Spike'll have to really change for that to happen...but what if it's a spoiler-spoiler? Oh noes!"

Yeah, it's like depression is their game - though they were cute for awhile there. And they're so on-again-off-again. Y'know, I like that I can come on this thread and be all "Why, funny show, must you also bother me so?!" because otherwise I would really be bothering everyone IRL.

Faith has the ability to wake up and I know she eventually will...no fair. I still need to know if guy-Xander-helped-come-out is alive and I don't think they're gonna tell me! Nooooooooo I wanna knooooww!!
OMG, LOOK!!

Yes it is Spike and Buffy lol - who are great together actually but its way way down the line - and Spike does change but he's still his normal sarcastic self which I love.

And the other couple if a semi spoiler for the spin off series of Angel - don't know if you plan to watch that or not (I actually thought it was better then Buffy at times)

I dont remember if you find out about that guy or not - pretty certain he's not in it again though so I guess he dies.
UUuuuugh. Infuriating. What a way to start the week.
