Chase and Pam on Army Wives have got to be one of my favourite TV/movie couples of all time. I love em.
I ain't thirsty. There's plenty of fish in the sea, but I don't want all of them, can I have some standards? Or do we just have to settle, for someone's who meh and will do.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
Good luck springy! {{{hugs}}} for Calvin!

Awww, even though you're leaving and I wish you weren't, I'm glad the day is finally here for you to get this done. I hope you have a good, not too exhausting trip! {{{springy}}}

She told me last night how she will have to speak to chef and executive sous about how intolerable and disruptive I am. Ahora resulta que los pajaros le tiran a las escopetas!
Seriously, if my sleep were so easily disrupted that the light from a phone (laughable!) kept me from falling asleep (she loves to make a big show of tossing and turning), I'd buy a ****ing sleeping mask. But even if I got her a sleeping mask, she'd find some reason for why she either couldn't wear it or still couldn't sleep, because this is about her getting her way at all times at all costs.
I love how she told me how sad it was that I was being so immature and discourteous when I was in my bed minding my own business. Then she proceeded to let her alarm ring forever at 5:30 and make as much noise as possible to show how she was no longer being considerate. Or her making a comment at work in front of me about how some panic and some don't over a situation that I was pissed about. Umm, no, I wasn't panicking, I was angry that because of mishandling, we had to dump a whole lot of mixed greens, then, after someone took over what I had started while I was in service, he proceeded to basically ignore every single instruction I gave him and to top it off, mixed the good, fresh lettuce with the garbage one. I mean, I can't believe I have to supervise something as simple as ****ing cleaning and storing lettuce!!! And furthermore, the amount of time lost on such a simple task. So yes, I was all hulk-mode nobody-touches-the-****ing-lettuce pissed.

Anywho, back to her ass and her little jabs talking about how I'm immature when she's at least twice my age: she can talk to chef all she wants because the moment she talks about how it's the light from my phone that so vexes her, they're going to think she's even crazier than they already do.

Can't there be a little "kitchen accident" (wink wink), Saria? Something that involved a temporary loss of the power of speech for your roommate?

Funky Winkerbean sucks.
I am so glad tipping is not really done here. And I feel sorry for the people that have to rely on tips to make ends meet. That blows. Thanks UK for the legal national minimum wage.
Fat does not make you fat. It's actually pretty important.
Thank you guys so much for the well wishes, we're really going to need them.

I never thought our move would feel like such a colossal mess, but I'm near tears and just need to let this out somewhere so I don't lose it when I need to keep it together. If any of our stuff actually makes it to our destination in one piece I'm going to be so shocked. I'm have no confidence whatsoever in the people handling our stuff and I fear the worst for all of it. I just can't wait for this to be over...it seems nobody knows WTF they're doing anymore nor do they give a isht. The word that keeps flashing in my mind is incompetent. We got so unlucky with our movers this time.

So thankful for this thread that I can vent 'out-loud' a little.

Stabby stab McStaberson!

__________

to go along with ninja's skeeter in the hair.. yesterday after yardwork I thought I was sweating, I looked down and there was a spider crawling on my chest. I sort freak trying to get it off, then see it's just fallen further down, and is right between my breasts. Cue me frantically trying to flick it out. See husband laughing, wondering what in the world his crazy wife is doing. I no longer see said spider, so I chose to believe it is gone.. go upstairs to shower, take off tank top, spider falls on floor. Cue calling husband to rescue spider.

Yay, my fridge decided to stop working over the weekend.

We never did find the pendulum and the clock would not work without it. It was only a year ago that we were able to find a suitable replacement. I could go on, but it will make me too stabby!!!

Take deep breaths, scream into a pillow and drink heavily!

Oh, Mr. Handsome Old Guy in the horned rim glasses, why did you stop coming to the gym? I liked you. You looked like you had a few good stories to tell, and I also enjoyed your long sleeved t-shirts.

So, she did do it. I found out yesterday for certain. And you know what adds insult to injury? I had to help her when it got stuck coming out. There it was, my lovely blue bee pattern, with "Soleiado" in the corner, wedged in Sadie's behind with her feces. "Mom" had to step in and save her from trouble excreting.

Arrangements have thus been made that the next time she causes trouble at this level, she will spend her "time out" in a friend's indoor/outdoor kennel while I take a walk around the block to cool off. In exchange, I can expect my friend's 13 year old daughter to arrive on my doorstep in kind.
