The loan mod finally went through and I am thoroughly disappointed. It is a payment we can afford but doesn't leave me any extra money to use to fix the house. I am feeling very trapped. And resentful of my mom for not keeping up the house and leaving me to deal with it. And mad at myself that we didn't move out 3 years ago like I wanted instead of having her move out. I'm just plain pissed. I hate this house.

Lazy, irresponsible, selfish pr!ck. You cry that you don't want things to be this way but how am I supposed to feel when everything is always about you. Guess what? The kids and I aren't responsible for your current mess and if I can unload this house, we won't be here when it is over. No sense bothering with someone I cxan never count on. Grow up.

Why is it that healthcare is the only area that is hiring in great numbers? I'm not looking for a job, but I check the papers and sites occasionally just to see what's out there. I checked the paper from the closest large city for the first time in a few years and was shocked at how paltry the employment section was when it used to be chock full of jobs. I'm seriously worried. Are things never going to get better?

how can you tell when your blue cheese goes bad? I was just wondering this when I was putting some on a salad today.

HALP Crazy in-laws coming into town. They've been full of drama lately. "Woe is me. We keep making really stupid choices and people won't bail us out anymore!" One of the things they've been complaining about is money troubles, so their solution: plan a trip for 3 states away! They weren't supposed to come until next weekend. they called this morning and informed us they changed their mind and are leaving today. They will no longer be able to afford a hotel room so they are expecting to be able to stay with us. All 6 of them (which includes 2 friends), in our cramped 2 bedroom apartment. They did not talk to me or my husband about this, they just left a message about it. DH is pissed, and our landlady would throw a fit even if we didn't mind, which we do.
