"Congress" didn't do all that. The ReTHUGlicans did all that. There was no need to negotiate anything on the debt ceiling. It's DEBT...already spent money. They should fight about budgets at budget time, not at debt time. The Thugs used this to implode our economy. THEY.DID.IT.ON.PURPOSE. They WANT our economy to be sh1t. That way they can win the next election. Really. It was done on purpose.

Yes. The word 'depression' is often used incorrectly and misunderstood. When you're 'depressed' as in, dad, well yes, those have the same meanings, but being depressed, as in the medical term, often has nothing to do with feeling sad at all.
Often feel unable to get a hold of your thoughts, feeling like you want to sleep all the time, the walls are closing in on you, the floor is a black hole that is swallowing you - those are often feelings of depression.
Using my iphone. Expect typos.

And there's also anhedonia (inability to enjoy things), emotional numbness, low motivation, increased or decreased appetite -- among other things. There's a lot of different signs (including feeling inappropriately sad all the time) that point to depression and/or related disorders. So if you're feeling out of whack, try seeing a psychologist.

yes this, didn't have time to type out a proper response earlier. Pretty much with all the symptoms they label off, you could have any combination of those and be technically depressed. Being sad is just one of many symptoms you could have.

I should stop watching shows about food when I'm starving. Time to raid the house.

Seeing all the serious local runners at yesterday's 10k race made me realize, I need to get more serious about wearing sunscreen and sun protection. They have a certain weathered look from running outdoors for years.

Aww, why, kayb?
Skimming that thread and reading about poor kissers, I just have to say I'm loving the kissing. He's great. Truly delicious.

When I got back from my run today, there were probably 50 gnats stuck to the sweat on my lower legs.
Ew.
I wonder if this was a gradual accumulation, or if I ran through a cloud of them. And on top of that, I wonder how many miles I was trotting along oblivious, grossing out everyone who I passed.
I think I will start looking at my legs occasionally while I'm running.

@ Saria: I typed so many responses to this.
Short story, I am just overreacting to stuff and being all stupid. I also don't understand men.
I am too old for this ****.

I was cold turkey for three years. One would think they would have learnt something, but, no, no they did not. Blah.

Hm. To each her own and all that, but Buffy and Riley, I'm just gonna go ahead and tell you that I don't get this one. I mean, yeah, you're fighting together so that makes sense, bodies moving as one and whatnot, but among the shots interspersed with your sexytime were the demon getting tazed and various other distinctly unsexy views of a slimy, angry enemy. Also, how does this not fall under the heading of getting off on violence, which was our first sign that Faith was off? It seems the only difference before she went off the deep end is that Faith wasn't in a relationship, so she went and had sex with a dude who was nearby. That's not much of a difference at all. I don't fault you for being into the violence in that way, but your creator was highly displeased with such behavior before.
Also, was I just so expecting Willow's sudden lesbianism that I am seeing everything in the light of it already, or would I have also seen her nervous "if you still want to...do something *twitchy half-smile*" in front of the door, as well as the previous conversations, as starting a relationship even in my high school days when I could be seriously obtuse about recognizing anything "abnormal" that I hadn't seen before? Perhaps in their very first conversation, maybe the second as well, I'd've seen nothing more than, "Boy, is that girl shy!" but I feel like by the later ones, they're totally dancing around some sexual tension. It's like a switch was thrown the moment she and Tara moved that vending machine.
That last thing looks very odd out of context.
I'm glad the freaky Frankenstein's Monster-lookin' dude decided to up and kill "Mommy" (and I don't even care if it turns out he just came to life and shouldn't have known to say that - I give it a funny pass). I just feel like that character was supposed to come off as way more formidable than she did, which Whedon likely realized, and subsequently solved. He's totally conditioning his viewers to expect that every villainous monologue will end in fail, lol. Now I just want to know why he can't fix his other mistakes like that. Don't tell me he doesn't see them.
[/distinctly un-rant-like rant]
ETA: I held my breath when "Mommy" was looking down and saying it was time to wake up and literally said aloud to my computer screen, "Not Faith!" And it wasn't. Show, you listened!

Reading the above re: depression has told me that I may be depressed. My motivation to do absolutely anything is utterly stagnant but the only "depression" in the sense of sadness that I've felt is sometimes wanting to cry at inconvenient times (frustration). This apathy hasn't always been there, but it's been awhile and it's happened worse before: I think I posted here at one point last summer when I literally sat on my bed for hours with a magazine open to the page where I'd left off, and didn't read a sentence in all that time. That was definitely my sign that something was wrong. I'm still borderline useful right now, but I need to be working on my projects and I just feel like anything I write will be stupid.

Alright! I get it. I forgot to send the order on saturday. What do you want me to do? Get a Delorian and go back in time to send it? It'll be here this afternoon and you can unpack it then. Oh I forgot, you like to stand around the coffee machine on Monday afternoons and not do any work. Silly me.
I wasn't the only person in on Saturday either so I'd better not be the only person getting it in the neck.

13 miles in 80 degree weather in long pants might actually sound worse than getting home and finding bugs stuck all over me.
