Thanks, I am really looking forward to it, a week working on an archaeological dig on Hadrian's Wall, then, if you remember Stuart - a week with him, then a couple days in London.

Dodged a bullet! Didn't have to go to that meeting after all!

I love it that GMA is trying to turn Jenna Marbles into some sort of an anti-grinding activist.

Ouch, those were a poor choice of shoes to walk in. I knew better, but I wasn't thinking when I put them on, now I have blisters.
I can't stop touching my face, I didn't think wearing contacts would be this odd.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
I am being so lazy.. Might be time for a nap. Vacation please don't ever end.

I hate back to school paperwork. Why can't they just ask if your information has changed?

They normally have folks take them out too just to make sure they're ok with it, but it took me SO incredibly long to get them IN they gave me a pass and I knew DH could help me get them out. Literally...he had to help and took it out for me the first night because I got so frustrated. I think I was worried I'd hurt my eye and that coupled with my squeamishness of TOUCHING MY EYEBALL *gasp* kinda freaked me out.

That aside, I eventually (sorta) got the hang of it and there are different methods. From what I remember I did the type where you take thumb and third finger and sorta pinch to remove it. I think there is also the method of sweeping it out, but I never mastered that. I highly recommend looking at some tutorials online, trying a few different techniques and see what feels comfortable to you. I vaguely remember holding my eye open with one hand while removing the contact with the other because I always wanted to close mine as well.

Sorry my details are less than detailed, it's been about 7ish years since I wore them and about a year and a half ago had corrective surgery so I no longer need glasses. If you ever, ever get the urge to look into that I cannot express enough how glad I am I got over my freaked-out-about-eyeballs self and had it done.

I'm sure there are lots of contact wearers here and you could try starting a thread about it if you're having issues getting them in or out.

Are you adjusting "ghost glasses" on your face (I still find myself doing this)?

I'm going to give it another go tomorrow, hopefully it gets easier...If not I'll start a thread. I'm excited because if I get the hang of this it means I can wear sunglasses and see!
