My first thoughts upon seeing someone riding a bike:

Riding your bike in the city - you're probably trying to save the planet, save money, or get in shape. You may or may not be a hipster... Or, maybe you just like riding your bike! Good for you!

Riding your bike in my hilly, blue collar town - Oooh, somebody got a DUI/lost their license!

Am I horrible? Never mind, don't answer that.

Ok what's happening to society when people think it's perfectly ok to let their children pee and poop in the street?

Dang, not reading all the threads has me curious! At the same time, the very high number of unbanned trolls is why I'm not reading as much, sooo...

I'm finding it harder and harder to believe that she doesn't have an eating disorder.

Wait, what?
I've seen this happen in Paris, too.

Supremely disgusting.

I've seen it twice now, both times I was in the car waiting in traffic. The first one was a man letting his little boy pee on the wall next to a footpath and the second one was a woman letting her little girl pee on the footpath.

I was

I don't have kids but wouldn't needing to pee be a good time to teach them to hold it? If they can't maybe the kid is not ready to go without nappies. The parents who encourage this need to teach their children there's a time and place, and it's not the street.

Yay!

The appraiser was here, and was very nice. She even likes dogs, and has red hair Of course, she couldn't give me her findings, and thus let me know if I qualify to drop my PMI, but at least the experience was a pleasant one.

The last appraiser was named Mr. Hyde. I'm not making that up.

I think the difference come when the girl hit their teens. That's when all the drama starts...
My daughter has always been really easy going and in to doing her own thing. She also tends not to care what others think of her. It might change, that's true, but I still see much more drama from my son in years to come.
It really is a stupid baseless stereotype. [Well, it has some base, our patriarchy, or it wouldn't exist. But we all know what a load of BS that is.]

My sister's family is like Jess's. The daughter [older] is totally mellow. And she's 15 now, so any drama would have reared its ugly head by now. Her younger brother is where the drama's at. There is always something up with him.

I can't tell you how many times in the last few years I've heard "Just wait until she's 13". Like that magically turns her into a ball of hormones and drama. Ugh.

I was an easy teenager. My brother on the other hand ....

Self-Fullfilling prophecy people. Kids tend to live up to their expectations. Treat and expect a drama queen, then you may just get what you ask for.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
