"Orientate" is one of my pet peeves.

I feel your pain.

Too much gym work. Shaking muscles; addled mind.

Then I ate pop tarts and drank green machine. Life is variety, dammit!

I didn't get my student visa

But I'm not going to cry about it- I think. Yes, I am disappointed but, shrug, such is life.

I ain't thirsty. There's plenty of fish in the sea, but I don't want all of them, can I have some standards? Or do we just have to settle, for someone's who meh and will do.

The market was absurdly beautiful --- peppers, eggplant, corn, peaches, the yogurt, the cheeses, beautiful tomatoes, gorgeous kohlrabi, and so much more. Unfortunately, I loaded up on all the flour I needed when I saw Cayuga was there. Five pounds rye, six pounds AP, one pound whole wheat pastry flour, one pound whole wheat bread flour, which is quite a load. So, I had to restrict myself to the sweet baking and go for the grapes and peaches I had intended on. Seedless Concord grapes = pie one step shorter.

OMFG! Yet another annoying co-worker who hums to himself all day. It makes no difference if people tell him to shut up because he just starts up again 5 minutes later. I think I'd be happier working from home at this point.

Also, what happened to the pizza place down the street from the office? I just had pizza there a few weeks ago and it was good. I go there today for lunch and it now has a weird taste, like the cheese is partly spoiled. I also noticed that one of the guys who's usually there wasn't there today. Hope there wasn't a change in ownership or something cause if there was, I'm not patronizing the place anymore. Which would be a pity since there hardly is any other place to eat in this neighborhood Siberia.

That's the name of a big Jewish Women's organization. I have a few friends that have worked there...never heard it for a first name!

Hmmm, I did end up with an extra pound of peaches. Do I make a few servings of cobbler using cream biscuits since I got some cream, or do I make a few pop tarts with a little cinnamon glaze? Or toaster strudels (rough puff vs. pie dough is the difference between the toaster strudel and pop tarts)? So many choices!

kayb, people use orientate, but orient is the correct term. It's one of those words that's been misued for so long it's become accepted.

But it still bugs lots of us.

Blargh, I'm reading a book along with a blogger, but she is only reading 2 chapters a week. I really really want to keep reading! (I read this book about 12 years ago, and the second in the series about 9-10 years ago, there are now 5 or six books) I'm chomping at the bit!

I might have to re-read the entire Wheel of Time series to keep myself occupied.

Thanks for vote, TRBL. Though I'm considering some baked peach oatmeal for breakfast tomorrow. Hmmm.
Can't this area get a break?! January 8, fires, flooding, and now a mysterious lockdown on the AFB? Isn't it punishment enough to have to be in the same state as the people in power from Phoenix?!
