So glad I'm leaving work early today. Unfortunately it's to go to the doctor.

At the cafe today, we had the option of getting a roasted jalapeņo. Now I love roasted chilies as much as the next girl, but cooooooome on! you didn't even peel them? Left the stem & seeds in? So here I sit at my desk, sticky black pieces of japaleņo skin stuck to my fingers, seeds all over (I don't mind seeds in salsa & such, but just to eat as a part of my lunch? No)

At least it is tasty.

This weather is perfect for sleeping in, watching movies, and doing nothing! Why wasn't it this way on Saturday?

I still think this actress needs a shower. Maybe even a session with a Buf Puf.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

In this particular case the travellers are illegally occupying green belt land. They were due to be evicted today but have a few more days to shift the elderly and disabled.

I'd feel the same way if people from the general population were doing the same thing. They're squatters. So I take it back, I don't feel bad about what's happening.

Maybe I'm just a heartless b*tch.

Grape love continues. Canadice grape and rosemary focaccia:

Still not done with the grapes. I love grape season.

I don't think you're heartless, CL.

And springy, thanks anyway, but not linking. Weddings by their very nature drive me nuts, and that show sounds like a doozy. I figure I've got two more to attend in my lifetime (niece and nephew), and then I'm home free!

Ha ha ha, bossy lady. I "need" to add this and I "need" to add that? You're lucky I even bothered to add you at all. You "need" to back the hell off and stop talking to people like we're all your underlings. I can't believe people in need have to go through you. Blech.
It touches on more than just the weddings, but also other aspects of their culture. It's a train wreck.

I'm not great with chaos. ^

It makes me anxious.
We just traded in our car for an old police interceptor a few days ago. We just found out the detective it belonged to is one of my husband's customers. He came in for an oil change today. He checked it out and found his hidden stash of pens. He offered to buy it from us. That's the second offer from a cop we've had! We've had several more cops stop and talk to us about how much they loved those cars. It's so nice knowing we have a good car again.

Hey, that's neat.^

No more Saturday mail?

The horror!

But, sacrifices must be made. Still, I'll miss it.

I love mail. Stationery, stamps, pens and pencils, too.

What I don't like is music in the post office. Or long lines while overhearing talking and laughter in the back. And don't get me started on the really dumb person who works at my local P.O., with her loud, tone deaf, slightly-hippy-like inflections. She once burped during a transaction, and not so quietly, either.

Sigh.
I've never eaten the skin. In my experience, chilies are left with the skins on (after roasting) until they are ready to be used, then peeled and used however. The things you learn.

I have to add that I was happy to see roasted peppers rather than pickled!

Why am I so dang hungry today?
Why am I entertaining the idea of going back to San Fran in October?
I ain't thirsty. There's plenty of fish in the sea, but I don't want all of them, can I have some standards? Or do we just have to settle, for someone's who meh and will do.
