I wish one of y'all would come and go shopping with me. I am in desperate need of some new clothes and there is a dinner coming up with DH's work that I have nothing to wear to and no idea where to start. I like the idea of going, but once I get to the stores I just want to go home.

I'm so disappointed. I was hoping to spam you guys this week with pictures of everything. But circumstances have conspired to prevent my camera purchase once again. DH says he's going to work extra hours specifically for this, but I'm not holding my breath. His intentions are good, but we've had such dumb luck with this, I'm feeling pretty hopeless about it at this point. It seems like something always comes up.

Also, I've just seen an ad on TV that says 'what do you do with curly, frizzy hair? Make it go away'. The model looked much better with her curls and her straightened hair looked like it would feel coated and plasticky. Blegh!

What is with my clingy kids today? I'm trying to get some editing finished so my paycheck is mailed before the weekend, and they keep jumping in my lap. How can I type with two kids squishing me? It's simulataneously sweet and frustrating.

My daughter and her boyfriend were fired today. They both work at the same company. It was for attendance. I had noticed there seemed to be a lot of days home sick but she is almost 25 years old so I kept my thoughts to myself. Now I wish I had said something.

You are both right. And it's funny-she is a good worker. She has never asked me for $ since she made a decision not to go back to college after her first year. And she has always had a job. I am not sure what happened recently.

As a parent it still makes me feel bad.
