I'm worried. I'm scared. I need to call the dr. and probably schedule an MRI. I don't want a 3rd surgery. I don't know if there are any other options. I've seen what chronic pain can do to people, and I don't want that to be me.

Do you have to use animal fat/lard for latkes? They look good, but I'm not a lard user.
I had a very vivid dream involving a guy friend from college who I had haven't seen in several years. It was very blush-worthy.

Oh, TRBL, I'm so sorry. {{{{{TRBL}}}}} You shouldn't be in pain of any sort, my dear.

Once it's dry-ish, dump it into the bowl and add an egg or two, depending on how many potatoes you used. Season with salt and pepper. Then, scoop them in small blobs (yes, technical term) into the hot oil and flip when the edges get brown.

I swear curlylaura and I are back twins.

I'm not in the incredible miserable pain I was in before, but I'm starting to hurt more & more frequently again. The sciatic pain is lasting longer and getting more intense. I can no longer fool myself with the "maybe I just slept wrong"

I'm sorry you're hurting. It's best to get it checked though isn't it? Maybe your surgeon could put in a metal doohickey like the one I'll be getting soon.

I hear doohickeys are very helpful, in some cases.

(Yes, I'm being silly, but I hope you both feel better soon. I've had brief bouts of back pain, and it's awful.)
I'm sick of having disrupted sleep, I'm sick of being in pain, I'm sick of feeling sick, I'm sick of being tired.

Boo

I like the word doohickey.

Thanks for all the hugs!

CL, can they tell you when you'll find out your surgery date? I hope they are able to get you in soon.
