Today is one of the rare days I wish Danae were in school longer. Davin is napping and it's just so darn peaceful in here.

I need some freaking privacy in this house. If I want to send a pair of my knickers to California can I not do so without someone taking up my package and reading the address? Really? I think that was the last straw

Also, I just gave away my last JMD $300. It was to the mother of one of my best friends in high school. There is a part of me that is okay with it, and another part that is like "you have 5 kids and four of them are working; I am not. Why am I the one giving you money?" I hope that does not make me evil

I've never used animal fat for latkes. Lard is pig fat, right? So yeah... that's not Kosher.

You know, I think chicken fat is considered the right type of schpeck for latkes.

I've never made them, though.

I wonder if I could buy some veg version at Whole Foods?

My Mom is getting pretty good at texting. That's kind of cool.

I know there are bigger things...worse things...but I don't want to go to Target alone. Sometimes (even for a loner) not having friends is kinda sad.

On a positive note I could *almost* get away with wearing a sweater today. Bring on the sweater weather, California!!

And is there ever a need for this emote?

Target is no-Ninj zone for me. I go in for one item, one five dollar item, and walk out with rugs, a lamp, candles, and an ottoman.

I'd go with you.

(See? I'm weak.)

So, I think I want to get a weekend job at a dog wash or groomers. I know it's not glamorous, and I wouldn't be using my education, but I'll bet I'd really enjoy it: meeting new dogs, scrubbing them up, getting away from the brain work I do during the week.

They might even give me a smock. Who wouldn't want a smock?

I think that would be a very fun job! I am always tempted to try and get a part time job at Petfood Express, but I know I don't have enough time. I just think their stores always call out to me. There is something about them.

Y'all rock. For real.

We need a Target meet-up. (that is coffee we're toasting, I don't think being drunk in Target would be good for my bank account)

L.A thank you for the emote example!

Absolutely no way can I go into Target and only get what is on my list. It's why I signed up for the Target debit Red Card thingie so at least I get 5% knocked off.

Gekko, so close, yet so far away. I'm scared to even drive through SF and I need to do that to get to you and CurliLocks.

Also Target related, I went to Target in Oakland a few weeks ago and they have this new line-up system at the registers that I think every store should do. There are several lines and you get called to the register that opens up so it's an even wait time for everyone. I've seen similar single line check-outs like that at Marshall's.

Thanks, gekko. I like the idea of coming home all dog-damp and smelly.

No, Curlilocks is in Oakland, she is on your side of the Bay. We should do a lunch one weekend, it would be fun!!

Also, no, you wouldn't drive through SF to get to me. You would head south on 880 to teh San Mateo Bridge, I am right off of 92.

I insist that this get together not happen until I go back to California.....so, three years then?

This made me think of a guy we saw when we were driving down the road the other day. We came around this corner and there was a guy in a chair just like this.. and there were cars in the other lane so we couldn't get over, plus we were going fast. We almost hit the guy... I've seen it twice now.

I've seen them in the road, as in right in the car lane, as well. Mind boggling.

My throat has felt scratchy all day. Whether from allegies or an oncoming cold, I do not know. In either case, it's annoying.

Yesterday, I experienced the good thing about Facebook as I found a cousin I haven't seen in at least 20 years. Yay!

I know a mole in the local government.

I love this.

I've always wanted to know a mole.

(Sorry pic is so big.)
