I've spent almost a week taking care of sick kids. Most of yesterday trying to bring down my 7 year olds 104 degree temp, and trying to ward off potential bronchitis. My mother decides to tell me (again) that I'm doing everything in my life wrong, and tonight my 4 year old says 'daddy's better than you'.

Other than the fact that I KNOW this isn't true, and she's 4, and tired and sick, it still hurt my feelings.

I feel like everyone should just get in line to slap me in the face.

Ugh.

Well we broke up.


I told him I needed to talk to him. Spent a few hours goofing off and having fun. Something good happened at his work so we opened the wine and celebrated.

Eventually the time for the talk came. I asked him how he was feeling about it all and he said that for him it all had kind of fizzled out.

I said ok, and left. And that was that.

I went to my car and cried. It started to pour. And then I saw it ....
