Buy more shoes...why didn't I think of that! Of course I would have had to go barefoot to the store!
I totally forgot about my boots! They did the trick since they don't rub anywhere near the blister area although I had to change outfits because I only have one pair of pants I can wear with them.
We ended up having a great day out despite the cold, rainy, nasty weather. And I had my first bratwurst!

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

Minor detail
One of my sandals broke while I was out at an appointment a couple of weeks ago. Broken to the point of being unwearable. They were platform heels, so there was no way to pull off discreetly hobbling back to my car wearing just one, so I had to walk back to my car barefoot, with my head held high in spite of all the curious stares.
They were pretty cute and fairly new, and I had to work to get my foot used to the beading (a bit painful at first). Needless to say, I was embarrassed AND pissed.

I thought the kids wouldn't make out as well with Halloween being postponed. Psshhht! Yeah right! Two full bags and a 1/2 a bowl of candy left here (apparently no kids came to our house). We'll be eating candy until Easter.

They make an iPad app called the iPeriod. I always thought that the iPad was an app for the iPeriod, not the other way around.

Nope.
But that only would have worked if this is in fact the flu, and specifically the one they vaccinated for.
I've heard many people talk about their kids getting this, so I think it's probably just a virus.

Thank you ladies for the hugs! It was a long day, but I'm glad we were busy at work so it helped keep my mind off it. Today I drove the truck my dad owned before he died...we took a road trip in it last summer for a week - it was awesome!!! Still wish he were here to take me fishing!

Can someone explain to me what the hell is going on with pads? It's been months now, a year or so almost, that I can't seem to find pads with wings. Not at CVS, not Duane Reade/Eckerd, not Rite-Aid. I've looked in Queens and Manhattan. Nothing. Assuming I find pads with wings, it's ****ing ultra-thin. Umm, yeah, no, that's not gonna work for me. What is it with all these ultra-thin pads?
Why can't I find pads???

And kayb (yay, my autocorrect knows you and fixes my poor typing, just like it knows Minxy; sigh, I miss Minxy, but anywho):
Step away from that phone unless it's him making the move. Don't make me take away your phone privileges, missy!
If it makes you feel better, I've been struggling with looking a certain someone up. I know that he's probably going to have photos up that would cause me terrible pain. I can't do that to myself. So, I know how hard it is.

You can't find the Always pads with wings? That's all I buy...do you need me to mail you some?
You could order a big stash online!

I buy Kotex, but I was ready to buy Always except inexplicably, they only seemed to have ultra-thin with wings for them as well!!! There's some weird NYC pad conspiracy, I tell you!

Have you tried target? I always find the kotex w/wings there.

Ha, so it's Target monopolizing all the Kotex with wings!
SIB, I don't think I've ever been to a Target. Do they even have Target in Manhattan? Never seen one in Queens.
Where is everyone?

Your message came too late love. I caved, but *Julia Roberts from Pretty Woman voice* "big mistake, big, big mistake." Men are evil and I'm tired.
Someone needs to stay strong for the both of us, and I think I've proven that I'm way too weak to be the one to do it.
So, you better be strong

There's only one in Manhattan, in Harlem. There's quite a few in Queens; Queens place, Flushing, College point, to name a few.
I'm sure everyone is getting their "extra" hour of sleep due to daylight savings.

It's just it was really quiet around here last night. Early morning I get, but there were no late night posts at all pretty much, which is unusual.
Alright, I think you can stop yourself now that you called him and said it was a huge mistake. I'm sorry. {{{kayb}}}
