Did I miss pics? Aren't there rules about this type of thing? There's plenty of pics of delicious TJ's food but I've seen no hair pics yet
The uploader on the app keeps giving me an error message tonight.

The front is shoulder length and the back is just above APL or so. I also got more layers in the back.

*There are rules...and RCC is breaking them.

*I want a tamale.

*I wish Mr. Spring would stop talking and let our company go to bed so in turn we could go to bed. I've gotta get up early and get breakfast in the oven, Mister Motor Mouth!

*I am really thankful for the community at nc.com.

*I am almost ready to be in the kitchen for 3 days.. almost.

*My mom laughed at me when I told her I typed out a timeline on what to cook which day. I need lists.

*My sister in law said their futon smells like mushrooms because they live in Seattle and it's so damp. If we go visit we're staying in a hotel.

Lemme try again. Keep getting booted.

Old length.

New length. My skin looks weird colored in nighttime bathroom light. Blah.

It was free from a local charcuterie for joining their bacon of the month club.

ETA. No one at work noticed it was shorter. Co workers just asked me why it was curlier.

It looks great, RCC. And thanks for not forcing us to take measures against you for breaking rules.
I miss your longer hair though. I'm feeling so alone with my super-long hair!

Spring, but writing lists is the way to do it! Thanksgiving dinner involves so many dishes sometimes that it's important to write everything down and then that way work out what can be made when! You're being a rational human being is what you're doing.

I've got stupid Rihanna music stuck in my head. Damn oh-na-na! She and Drake do have some amazing chemistry though.

I don't want measures taken against me. Good thing the error message cleared, lol.

I'm sure I'll miss the length soon enough and grow it back out. I wish I could have the springiness of shorter hair at a longer length, but my curl pattern isn't strong enough to hold that.

RCC I like it! I'm contemplating a chop but I know I'll miss it right away. But I want to grow out all my layers. I'm due for color anyway so we'll see.

Yum tamale! I should hit up the gourmet tamale place at the farmer's market.

How long do you think it'd be curly? Hip length straight on me was just past BSL curly.

My longest layer is about 3 inches below BSL right now so you guys aren't completely alone.

Seriously! The great cultural knowledge a lot of these people display basically boils down to "there's so many [insert ethnicity] restaurants and I'm always in there". Meanwhile, these restaurants are pretty much populated by other white people. They wouldn't dare actually move to a neighborhood or even visit one where other cultures are all around them.
Um, I live in Brooklyn. I don't live in a "trendy" part of it (believe it or not, there are sections of Brooklyn that are still down to earth), though the neighborhood next to mine is. I'm also a native New Yorker, which isn't that common these days. You have no idea how annoyed I get at yuppies and hipsters who come from flyover USA and act like they've been here their whole lives within a couple of years. I don't consider Starbucks an authentic cafe, sorry. There was a mom and pop cafe in my neighborhood that closed down a couple of months ago that actually had a sense of community and where the owner actually knew your name. Their landlord jacked up the rent, so they bailed. Supposedly, another mom and pop cafe is supposed to take over the space, but IMO, it's likely that within the next decade, Starbucks might take over. Also, coming by the subway to stand 90 minutes in line for a slice of overpriced pizza in a nondescript neighborhood pizzeria that happened to get a rave review several years ago in Time Out New York or some such magazine-where I hung out at in middle school and high school-does not constitute experiencing the actual culture of the neighborhood either. Chances are that you'd never consider living there because you're too damn cool for the place because it doesn't have a stupid doggy day care facility or a Starbucks. My mother grew up in the projects in Red Hook, which is undergoing some gentrification right now. Pale faces are starting to show up there whereas 30 years ago, they wouldn't have set foot within a mile of the area. I can't help being suspicious because I have to wonder if the yuppies and hipsters that are starting to move over there are wishing that those projects would just disappear, because you know they won't dare associate with "those kind of people". I got news for you ****ers-those projects were there before y'all were even born. They'll be there after you leave to move to some plastic suburb when you decide that your apartment is just too small for you, your spouse and your one or two brats. "Those kind of people" have nowhere else to go. If anything, I wish y'all would go back to Nowheresville where y'all belong.

Yes, I have issues.

LadyV, that was a great rant.

If I straightened my hair, that's right about where it would be.
I'm getting that once or twice a year straightening itch just to see it. Last time I straightened my hair I was disappointed though. It was too flat and boring. If I do it again, I'll have them perk it up just a little with the curling iron.

I don't know. There will be people that will leave entirely, but what I think could happen is with some of those people getting pushed out that don't leave the city, they may choose to move into areas that are currently white middle or working class, while those white middle or working class move to what are now black or Hispanic areas or out to the suburbs. Some neighborhoods may end up having different constitutions eventually, but we'll see.

Pre Thanksgiving weekend over. Let the weekday part of it begin.

Lady who dropped the root beer and had it explode on her, don't worry, really. Spills happen all the time. I felt badly about how embarrassed and mortified you looked. It's ok, really.

People who were patient in long lines, thank you. For you folks who said you came to my line because I was moving fast, thank the Monster Absolutely Zero.

To the guy who complained about the size of the crowds, it was the Sunday before Thanksgiving, duh. You know, we don't have separate staff for baggers. If you help bag like the eleventy billion people in front of you did, it would be faster.

For the nice lady who waited patiently for 20 minutes while I was waiting for the truck to offload so I could find the one pallet that had the cheddar cheese popcorn on it, you were very sweet about the wait.

For the new store, thanks for letting me come over and work extra hours for some OT. I like that my normal 75 hr pay period was 93 hours this time. The OT will be cut off once you guys get more established and settled, I know that. But, I am enjoying it now.

I'll be heading for my local Trader Joe's today for some Thanksgiving stuff -- hope it's not too much of a zoo! (And I hope they still have some good pies left.)

We usually over order on the more popular pies on purpose, so I hope that your store does the same thing. But, you're always able to call and put one on hold if you want extra security and are fine with having someone else pick out pies.

People trying for a turkey today might be hit or miss though.

ETA. Today will be less zoo like than Wednesday.
